Needle Point: How Long Does a Needle Last?
This section addresses the lifespan of sewing machine needles. While a general rule suggests changing needles every six to eight hours, it's more practical to watch for specific clues indicating a needle needs replacement:
- Threads break or shred.
- Stitches skip.
- Fabrics pucker or become damaged.
- Wiggly, squiggly stitches appear.
- The sewing machine makes clicking, popping, or clunking sounds.
