Description
The FIB-1000 Fiber Interface Bridge allows the RS-485 P-Link bus to be converted into or from the fiber optic cable. It is fully supervised and is capable of both Class B and Class A operation. The FIB-1000RM includes a 19-inch rack-mount kit for installation in an equipment rack. Each card is mounted to the exclusive Stacker Bracket for secure and accessible mounting.
Installation
The FIB-1000 is connected to the control panel using a four-wire RS-485 (P-Link) connection. This connection is power limited and supervised. The FIB-1000 can be installed in the AE-2, AE-8, and AE-14 Accessory Enclosures. The FIB-1000 can also be installed inside the PSN-100E Intelligent Power Supply and larger control panel enclosures that include space for mounting stacker bracket modules. The FIB-1000RM may be installed directly in an equipment rack.
