Braun BC24 Alarm Clock

Product Overview

The Braun BC24 is a digital alarm clock designed for ease of use and clear time display. It features a rotating bezel for time setting, a snooze function, and an alarm that can be easily turned on or off.

Battery Precautions

• Do not use rechargeable batteries.
• Use only alkaline AA batteries of the same or equivalent type.
• Insert batteries with the correct polarity.
• Keep batteries away from children.
• Dispose of exhausted batteries according to local legal requirements. Do not dispose of them with normal household rubbish.
• Avoid short-circuiting the contacts in the battery compartment and battery terminals.
• Remove batteries from the unit if it will not be used for a long period of time.
• Exhausted batteries should be removed from the battery compartment to prevent over-discharge, which can cause leakage and may damage the clock.

Getting Started

1. Remove the battery door.
2. Insert 1x AA size new battery as indicated in the battery compartment and press the RESET key [⚙️] to reset the clock. The display will turn on after a few seconds. Only use alkaline batteries from a reputable brand.
3. Close the battery door.

Function Keys

TIME SETTING touch key

• Touch the clock icon ⏰ to turn on the backlight for 10 seconds.
• Touch the clock icon ⏰ to stop the alarm and activate the 5-minute snooze function.
• Touch and hold the clock icon ⏰ for 2 seconds to set the clock time.

ALARM SETTING touch key

• Touch the alarm icon ? to turn on the backlight for 10 seconds.
• Touch the alarm icon ? to stop the alarm and activate the 5-minute snooze function.
• Touch and hold the alarm icon ? for 2 seconds to set the alarm time.

SNOOZE / LIGHT touch key

• Touch to turn on the backlight for 10 seconds.
• Touch to stop the alarm and activate the 5-minute snooze function.

Rotating Bezel

• In normal mode, rotate the bezel to turn on the backlight for 10 seconds.
• Rotate the bezel to stop the alarm and activate the 5-minute snooze function.
• In TIME SETTING or ALARM SETTING mode, rotate the bezel clockwise [▶️] to increase the setting value.
• In TIME SETTING or ALARM SETTING mode, rotate the bezel anti-clockwise [◀️] to decrease the setting value.

ALARM ON / OFF Slider

• Push the ALARM ON / OFF slider up [▲] to enable the alarm.
• Push the ALARM ON / OFF slider down [▼] to disable the alarm.

RESET Key

• Press using a pointy object (e.g., a paperclip) to reset all values to default. Reset the unit in case of a malfunction.

The LCD display shows:

Setting the Time

1. Touch and hold the clock icon ⏰ for 2 seconds to enter the time setting mode.
2. Rotate the bezel to select 12 or 24 hour format.
3. Touch the clock icon ⏰ to confirm hour format setting.
4. Rotate the bezel to set the desired time.
5. Touch the clock icon ⏰ to save the settings and return to the normal display.

Setting the Alarm

1. Touch and hold the alarm icon ? for 2 seconds to enter the alarm setting mode.
2. Rotate the bezel to set the desired alarm time.
3. Touch the alarm icon ? to save the settings and return to the normal display.

Important: When setting the time or alarm, be careful to touch only the desired key. If touching the screen in several places at the same time, the keys may not register correctly.

Using the Alarm and Snooze Function

1. Enable the alarm by pushing the ALARM ON / OFF slider up [▲] (so the green indicator is visible). The bell icon [?] will appear on the LCD display.
2. Touch one of the keys (SNOOZE/LIGHT, TIME SETTING, ALARM SETTING, or the BRAUN logo ?) or rotate the bezel to stop the alarm and activate the snooze function. When the snooze function is activated, the bell icon [?] will flash.
3. To disable the alarm and snooze function, push the ALARM ON / OFF slider down [▼]. The bell icon [?] will disappear.

Note: When the snooze function is activated, the alarm will automatically start again after 5 minutes. The snooze function will not stop unless the ALARM ON / OFF SLIDER is pushed down.

Battery Replacement

When the LCD starts to dim, replace the battery with a new one immediately.

Important Notes and Guarantee

Note: Exposure to an electrostatic environment may cause the clock to reset. In this event, please follow the instructions as described in this manual to set the clock again.

Guarantee

Braun offers a 2-year guarantee against material and workmanship defects (excluding batteries). The guarantee is valid in countries where the clock is officially sold. Broken or cracked lens screens are not covered under the Guarantee.
