Control Panel
- Power Button: Press to turn on. Press and hold to turn off.
- Battery Indicator: Displays the remaining power level with five bars.
- Light: Double-click the power button to toggle the front light on/off.
- Cruise Control: Maintain a constant speed for approximately 10 seconds to activate cruise control. An audible beep will confirm activation.
Zero Start: To enable zero start, press the power button twice while holding the brake lever. The scooter will only accelerate once it reaches a coasting speed of 3 mph.
Charging
- The scooter is fully charged when the charger's LED indicator turns green from red.
- The scooter features automatic charging protection that stops charging once fully charged.
- Avoid charging the scooter for more than 24 consecutive hours.
- Do not connect the charger if the charging port is wet.
- Ensure the charging port cover is closed when not charging.
Riding Basics
- Turn on the power and check the electricity indicator.
- Stand on the deck with one foot and use the other foot to propel the scooter.
- Once the scooter is coasting, place both feet on the deck and press the accelerator. Acceleration engages when the coasting speed exceeds 3 mph.
- To brake, release the accelerator. The kinetic energy recovery system (KERS) will initiate a slow brake. For a sudden stop, squeeze the brake lever.
- To turn, tilt your body in the desired direction and gently turn the handlebar.
Safety Precaution: Always wear helmets and knee pads to protect yourself from falls and injuries, especially when learning to ride.
Riding Notice
The iScooter i9S is a leisure device but is subject to vehicle regulations in public areas. Adhere to manual instructions and local traffic laws for your safety.
- Respect pedestrians. Avoid startling them, especially children. When passing pedestrians from behind, ring the bell and slow down, passing on their left (where traffic drives on the right). When crossing pedestrian areas, keep to the right and ride at a low speed, or dismount.
- Follow all safety instructions. iScooter is not liable for losses or injuries resulting from violations of user instructions.
- Perform pre-ride checks: ensure all parts are secure, check battery levels, look for excessive wear, listen for unusual sounds, and check for any malfunctions. Stop riding if any issues are detected.
- WARNING: Risk of Fire - Contains no user-serviceable parts.
Folding and Carrying
Ensure the scooter is turned off before folding. Unlock the folding mechanism and bend the handlebar stem to hook the buckle onto the rear fender. To unfold, press the bell trigger to release from the buckle, erect the handlebar, and lock the folding structure.
Disc Brake Adjustment
Adjusting Sensitivity: Use the Allen wrench to loosen the screw on the rocker.
- If the disc brake is too sensitive, rotate the disc brake rocker slightly downwards and retighten the screw on the brake cable core.
- If the disc brake is not stopping effectively, rotate the disc brake rocker slightly upwards and retighten the screw on the brake cable core.
Notice: Disc brake squeaking during initial use is normal and does not affect performance.
Removing Brake Noise:
- Turn off the scooter and place it on a flat surface for easier adjustment.
- Loosen the two screws on the brake pump (not the rocker screw).
- Adjust the brake pump position so the disc brake is centered between the two brake pads.
- Ensure the brake disc and pads do not touch when not engaged.
- Hold the brake pump in the correct position and retighten the screws.
Daily Care and Maintenance
Cleaning and Storage
- Wipe the scooter body with a damp cloth. For stubborn stains, use toothpaste and a toothbrush, then wipe with a damp cloth.
- Notes:
- Do not use alcohol, gasoline, kerosene, or other volatile solvents for cleaning.
- Avoid high-pressure water sprays. Ensure the scooter is off, the charger is unplugged, and the charging port flap is closed during cleaning to prevent electric shock or other issues.
- Store the scooter indoors in a dry and cool place. Avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight, overheating, or overcooling, as these can accelerate battery degradation.
Battery Maintenance
- Use only original battery packs. Using other brands may pose safety risks.
- Do not touch battery contacts. Do not dismantle or puncture the battery casing. Keep contacts away from metal objects to prevent short circuits, which can damage the battery or cause injury.
- Use the original power adapter to prevent potential damage or fire hazards.
- Dispose of used batteries responsibly according to local regulations to protect the environment.
- Fully charge the battery after each use to prolong its lifespan.
Storage and Disposal
- Store the scooter in a cool, dry place between 14°F and 104°F (-10°C and 40°C). Condensation in humid environments can damage the battery. Avoid use at elevations above 2000m. Prolonged exposure to UV rays, rain, and elements can damage enclosure materials. Store indoors when not in use.
- In daily use, avoid fully exhausting the battery before recharging. Recharge as soon as the battery level is low.
- Charge the scooter every two months to preserve battery health.
