OKIMAT 4 Series Installation Guide

This document provides essential installation and mounting instructions for the DewertOkin OKIMAT 4 series of electric drives, including models IPS, IPSe, EPS, and EPSe. These drives are designed for electromotoric adjustable slatted frames (Lattenrost / Sommier).

Key Installation Steps

Ensure motors are in the correct installation position by connecting the power plug and using the handset's down buttons. For safety, disconnect the power plug after positioning. Mount the OKIMAT by placing the slatted frame upside down, removing side covers, and firmly pushing the OKIMAT onto the levers until it snaps into place. Ensure the back symbol points towards the head section. Reattach side covers, connect the handset cable through the strain relief, place the frame in the bed, and plug in the power connector.

Special Features & Safety

The OKIMAT series offers optional features like a mains isolation circuit for protection against electromagnetic fields and a reset function for power failures using a 9V battery. Adhere to the maximum of 5 switching cycles per minute. Avoid continuous operation for more than 2 minutes to prevent damage. Only authorized personnel should open the OKIMAT, and the power must be disconnected before doing so. The manufacturer is not liable for damages from unauthorized repairs or modifications.

Technical Data Overview

The drives operate on mains connections of 100-240V AC, 50/60 Hz, with a 24V DC internal voltage. They are designed for intermittent duty (15% at 2 min. max. continuous operation) and are manufactured to VDE protection class II. Power consumption varies between 30-300 Watts depending on load and type.

Troubleshooting & Maintenance

If motors do not operate, check mains connection and handset plug. For models with mains isolation and auxiliary movement, press the green button on the plug. If motors still don't work after a power failure reset, renew the battery. Regular maintenance is not required, but cleaning should be done with a dry cloth. Dispose of packaging and old components responsibly.
