The VTech 5” Smart Wi-Fi 1080p Pan & Tilt Monitor allows you to stay close to your baby when you are on the move or away. This monitor uses your home wireless network to stream live video and audio through the 1080p baby unit and a 5-inch color screen parent unit, maintaining a constant connection. You can also monitor from your smartphone and mobile tablet using the MyVTech Baby Pro app, available from the App Store or Google Play™ Store, to see and hear your baby from anywhere in the world.
When using this equipment, basic safety precautions should always be followed to reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, and injury. Adult setup is required. Do not install the baby unit at a height above 6.5 feet (2 meters). This product is intended as an aid and is not a substitute for responsible adult supervision. Do not use this product near water. Use only the provided battery and adapters. Incorrect adapter polarity or voltage can seriously damage the product. The power adapter is intended to be oriented vertically or floor-mounted; do not connect to ceiling, under-table, or cabinet outlets. Ensure power cords are out of reach of children. Do not overload wall outlets or use extension cords. Do not place the product on unstable surfaces or block ventilation openings. Never push objects into the product or spill liquid on it. Do not disassemble; return to an authorized service facility for repairs. Periodically examine all components for damage. Be aware of the low risk of privacy loss with electronic devices and reset the monitor periodically. Children should be supervised to ensure they do not play with the product. Keep small parts out of reach of children. The product is not intended for use by persons with reduced physical, sensory, or mental capabilities unless supervised.
Cautions: Use and store the product between 32°F and 104°F (0°C and 40°C). Avoid extreme cold, heat, or direct sunlight. Do not place near heating sources. Warning: Strangulation Hazard – keep cords out of reach of children (more than 3 ft / 0.9m). Never place the camera unit(s) inside the baby’s crib or playpen. Do not cover the camera unit(s) or parent unit with anything like a towel or blanket. Other electronic products may cause interference; install the camera unit as far as possible from wireless routers, radios, cellular telephones, intercoms, room monitors, televisions, personal computers, kitchen appliances, and cordless telephones.
Precautions for users of implanted cardiac pacemakers: Keep wireless devices at least six inches from the pacemaker. Do not place wireless devices directly over the pacemaker when turned ON. WTR’s evaluation did not identify any risk to bystanders with pacemakers from other persons using wireless devices.
Electromagnetic fields (EMF): This VTech product complies with all standards regarding electromagnetic fields (EMF). If handled properly and according to instructions, the product is safe.

Download the free MyVTech Baby Pro mobile app and install it on your mobile device to monitor your areas remotely. You can find the app in the App Store or Google Play store.
Minimum Requirement: The mobile app is compatible with Android™ 6.0 or later, and iOS 12 or later.
After installing the app, create a user account (using a common webmail service like Gmail is recommended). Activate your account via email and sign in. Follow the app instructions to pair the camera by tapping 'Add Camera'.

Your parent unit and baby unit connect directly by default, allowing immediate video streaming out of the box. This mode is not recommended for continued use after initial setup due to potential signal strength reduction with distance or obstructions. For improved connection, set up Router mode.
Router mode uses your home Wi-Fi network for a more stable connection and enhanced live video streaming via the parent unit and smartphone app. This is the recommended mode for stable connectivity.
To stream live video remotely with your mobile device, download and install the MyVTech Baby Pro mobile app. Your Wi-Fi router provides internet connectivity, acting as a channel between the baby unit and your mobile device for monitoring and control from anywhere. When both the parent unit and app are viewing simultaneously, video quality is optimized.

Use only the supplied power adapters. Ensure units are not connected to switch-controlled outlets. Connect adapters vertically or floor-mounted. Keep cords out of reach of children.
The parent unit runs on a rechargeable battery or AC power. Charge the parent unit battery for 12 hours before first use. The battery icon will become solid when fully charged. To keep the battery charged, connect it to AC power when in use. The parent unit turns on automatically when connected to power. Press the Power button to turn it on or hold to turn it off. The battery icon indicates status: low charge requires immediate charging; solid icon means fully charged.
Baby Unit Power On: Slide the switch to ON. The status LED turns on briefly and then turns off by default. You can enable it in the settings if desired.
Note: Camera lens and surface may get warm during normal operation.
After powering up, the parent unit streams live video in direct mode. Setup of the home Wi-Fi network is recommended for enhanced functionality and mobile access.
Press MENU on the parent unit to enter the main menu. Use arrow keys to navigate and SELECT to choose items or save settings. Press TALK to return to live video or to exit a sub-menu. Press the help button to view the help page.

buttons to adjust the parent unit speaker volume.
Press the Zoom
button to zoom in or out. The icon indicates the image is magnified 3 times.
Press and hold the TALK key. When the ?
icon displays, speak to your parent unit. Release the TALK key to hear your baby again.
Go to > Status LED to turn the baby unit status LED indicator on or off.
Press the Power | LCD ON/OFF
button to turn the parent unit screen off. You will still hear sounds from the baby unit. Press any key to turn the screen back on.
Insert a pin into the RESET hole on the back of the parent unit and press the key inside to force reboot.
Notes: Check reception strength and camera angle before drilling. Use appropriate screws and wall plugs for your wall type.
You can control the night light from the parent unit or directly on the baby unit.

Place the baby unit more than 3 feet away from your baby. Adjust the angle to aim at your baby. Keep the baby unit out of the baby's reach and never place it inside the crib or playpen.
If installing the baby unit in a designated location and using your home Wi-Fi, test Wi-Fi signal strength in potential monitoring areas using the parent unit's signal indicator. Adjust the distance between the baby unit and Wi-Fi router if needed. Be aware that surroundings and internal walls can affect Wi-Fi signal strength.
The Parent Unit will prompt you to update software and firmware when new versions are available. Select "Now" to reboot or switch off/on later. To check for updates or update manually, go to > Software Update.
Connecting to your secured home Wi-Fi network is required for software and firmware updates. To set up Wi-Fi, go to > Configure Wi-Fi. Ensure the Baby Unit is powered on during Wi-Fi setup.

Try disconnecting and reconnecting power to the baby unit, then reboot the parent unit.
The baby unit's infrared LEDs activate in dim ambient light, enabling black and white night vision.
Check your Wi-Fi router settings and ensure the baby unit has a stable connection. Other electronic products may cause interference; try relocating the baby unit.
Increase the parent unit speaker volume or adjust the sound sensitivity level in the settings.
