The Actiontec C1000A is presented as one of the most robust routers available. It features a powerful wireless N radio, a gigabit Ethernet switch, and a dual-core 32-bit processor. With ample memory (64 MB Flash, 64 MB SDRAM), it supports demanding multimedia applications such as IPTV, media sharing, and online gaming. This contrasts with typical routers that use a 32-bit single-core processor with less memory (4 MB Flash, 8 MB SDRAM).
