Victrola Wave Turntable (Model VPT-1520)

Top View Components:

Speed Selector: Adjusts playback speed.

45 RPM Adaptor: For playing 7-inch records.

Counter Weight: Balances the tonearm.

Anti-Skate Knob: Prevents the stylus from skipping across the record.

Tonearm Lift Lever: Manually raises and lowers the tonearm.

Tonearm Holder: Secures the tonearm when not in use.

Tonearm: Holds the cartridge and stylus.

Removable Headshell: Holds the cartridge and can be detached.

Cartridge: Contains the stylus (needle) and converts record vibrations into electrical signals.

Platter: The rotating disc that holds the record.

Slipmat: A protective mat placed on the platter.

Control Button: Multifunction button for power and mode switching.

Back View Components:

Dust Cover: Protects the turntable from dust.

RCA Output with Ground: Connects to amplifiers or powered speakers.

Pre-Amp Switch: Selects between Phono and Line output.

AC Power Port: Connects the power cord.

Auto-Stop Switch: Controls automatic stopping of the platter.

Operation

Function Button

Press and Hold: Power On/Off

Single Press: Switch between Bluetooth® (blue LED) and RCA (white LED) output

Double Press: In Bluetooth® mode - Enable Auracast™ broadcast (light blue LED)

Auto-Stop Switch

ON: Platter will begin spinning when tonearm hovers over the edge of the record and stop spinning at the end of the record to prevent stylus wear.

OFF: Platter will spin when speed control is set to 33 or 45, regardless of tonearm position.

Pre-Amp Switch

LINE: Set the switch to line if connecting to line line-level input on speakers or amplifier.

PHONO: Set the switch to phono if using external pre-amp or amplifier with phono input.

Additional Notes

  • Unit automatically powers off if no playback for 15 minutes.
  • Wired RCA output is disabled when mode is set to Bluetooth Out.
  • Unit automatically starts Bluetooth pairing when entering Bluetooth Out mode.
  • To reset the unit, press and hold the function button (5 seconds). This will remove and forget all previously paired Bluetooth devices.

  18. The mains plug is the disconnect device and must remain operable.
  19. WARNING: Do not expose to rain or moisture. Do not place liquid-filled objects on the apparatus.

  21. Refer to exterior bottom/back enclosure for electrical and safety information.
  22. Do not impede ventilation with items like newspaper or curtains.
  23. Do not place naked flame sources, like candles, on the apparatus.
  24. Do not install in confined spaces.

Safety Information

Shutting Off Power: Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet when not in use for extended periods.

Controls and Adjustments: Using procedures other than specified may result in hazardous radiation exposure.

Preventing Electric Shock: Match the wide blade of the plug to the wide slot and insert fully.

Before Use:

  • Choose installation location carefully: avoid direct sunlight, heat sources, vibrations, excessive dust, cold, or moisture. Keep away from humming sources like transformers.
  • Do not open the cabinet to avoid damage or electric shock. Contact Customer Service if foreign objects enter.
  • Handle records with clean fingers. Do not play cracked records.
  • Pull the plug directly, not the cord, when unplugging.
  • Use the white protective needle cover after use to protect the stylus.
  • Clean the unit with a clean, dry cloth. Avoid chemical solvents.
  • Keep this manual in a safe place.
