Parts Identification
The Panasonic ER240 Moustache Trimmer and its components are illustrated. The main unit (labeled A) includes a switch (B) and a battery cover (C). The blade assembly consists of the blade itself (D), guide tabs (E), and a cleaning lever (F). Instructions for Use
Inserting the Batteries
(Refer to Figure 2)
To insert batteries, pull the battery cover off the trimmer unit in the direction indicated by the arrow. Insert batteries, matching the positive (+) and negative (-) positions as indicated. Replace the battery cover.
Adjustment of Moustache Length
(Refer to Figure 3)
Moustache length can be adjusted using the comb attachment. To set the cutting length, grasp the sides of the comb attachment and move it to the desired position, from "1" to "5". Turn on the switch, place the comb side of the attachment against your face, and begin trimming.
Shaping Your Moustache
(Refer to Figure 4)
Remove the comb attachment. Turn on the switch and trim the hairline of your moustache.
Cutter Maintenance
(Refer to Figure 5)
- Remove the comb attachment.
- Hold the trimmer body, place your thumb against the blade, and push it away from the main body.
- Brush hair from the cutting mechanism.
- Push down the cleaning lever to raise the moving blade, and brush the gap between the blades.
- To re-assemble, align the guide tabs with the guide slots and push down until the cutter assembly clicks into place.
Blade Life
Blade life varies according to frequency and length of usage. Using the unit ten minutes a day every three days, for example, results in a life expectancy of approximately three years.
Caution
- If the body becomes dusty, clean only with a damp or slightly soapy cloth. Never use a corrosive cleaner such as benzine or bleach, or immerse the unit in water.
- Keep out of reach of children.
- Never use the trimmer on pet hair.
- During normal operation, the blades and body of the trimmer may become warm. This is normal.
- If the trimmer is not used for a long time, remove the batteries to prevent possible leakage.
- Do not use new batteries with old ones.
