6.2 UPS Mode
With UPS mode enabled, the AC240 can provide uninterrupted power to essential appliances during a power outage. Through the BLUETTI App, you can choose from four different UPS modes.
Note: Disable the Grid Self-adaption Mode [grid-enhancement-icon] when using the UPS function.
Standard UPS Mode
Ideal for areas with an unreliable power grid. The AC240 and expansion batteries (if any) are always charged using available solar or grid power. When the battery is fully charged, the grid can bypass AC240 and power your loads directly. In the event of a grid failure, the AC240 seamlessly takes over to keep your appliances running without interruption.
Note: This mode is only available when two AC240 units are connected in parallel.
Time Control UPS Mode
Suitable for areas with fluctuating electricity prices based on time-of-use. You can set State of Charge (SoC) limits and specific charging and discharging schedules to optimize cost savings.
- SoC Setting [soc-icon]: Set SoC Low value and SoC High value.
- SoC Low: Set to 20% by default. When connected to the power grid, it'll stop supplying power to appliances once the battery level drops below 20%. If there is no power grid, the AC240 will continue to power appliances until the battery level reaches 0%.
- SoC High: Set to 80% by default. The AC240 will stop charging from the grid when the battery level reaches 80%, and seamlessly switch to solar charging for the remaining capacity.
- Manage Charge/Discharge Time [manage-charge-discharge-time-icon]:
- Charging Time: Schedule the AC240 to charge during off-peak hours when electricity costs are lower.
- Discharge Time: Schedule the AC240 to supply appliances during peak hours when electricity costs are higher.
PV Priority UPS Mode
Suitable for areas with abundant solar resources and a stable grid. In this mode, the AC240 primarily charges from solar energy to save electricity. You can also set a specific State of Charge (SoC) threshold. As the AC240 charges from the grid and reaches the desired SoC level, it seamlessly transitions to solar charging for the remaining capacity.
Customized UPS Mode
In this mode, you can create personalized schedules for charging and discharging, set battery SoC limits, and control the grid charging switch. When the Grid Control [grid-control-icon] is off, the AC240 won't use grid power to charge.
Note: The charge/discharge schedule, SoC limits, and grid charging availability also take effect in Time Control UPS Mode.
6.3 ECO Mode
To help save power and extend battery life, tap ECO [eco-icon] on the Setting page to turn on the ECO Mode.
AC-ECO
AC-ECO provides three options: Normal Mode, Deep Mode, and Off. The Normal Mode is enabled by default.
AC-ECO Normal Mode: If the AC power output falls below a certain power level for a set period, the AC power will automatically turn off. To resume AC output, turn on the AC Power Button [ac-power-button].
Note: It's recommended to set the AC-ECO shutdown time to 4 hours and the power limit to 20W.
AC-ECO Deep Mode: If no devices are connected to the AC output, the AC240 enters sleep mode to save energy. When a device is connected, the AC240 automatically wakes up and supplies power.
AC-ECO Off: Disables the AC-ECO Mode.
DC-ECO
If the DC power output falls below a certain power level for a set period, the DC power will automatically turn off. To resume DC output, turn on the DC Power Button [dc-usb-power-button].
Note: It's recommended to set the DC-ECO shutdown time to 4 hours and the power limit to 10W.
Note: When AC-ECO or DC-ECO is enabled, the ECO [eco-icon] icon will be displayed at the top of the LED screen.
6.4 Advanced Settings
Tap Advanced Settings [advanced-settings-icon] at the bottom of the Setting page to check and change more settings, including AC Output Frequency, Grid Max. Input Current, and Factory Reset [factory-reset-icon], etc.
- AC Output Frequency: Choose 60Hz or 50Hz for the AC240.
- Grid Max. Input Current: If the grid current doesn't align with the set current, adjust it in the BLUETTI App. Note: To set a value higher than the default 15A, access Advanced Settings and tap Set. The adjustable range is 1-12A. For higher currents, enter Pro Mode [pro-mode-icon] to configure it.
- Factory Reset [factory-reset-icon]: To factory reset all settings.
7. Unbinding
When you no longer want to manage the AC240, you have two options to unbind it.
- On the My Devices [my-devices-icon] page, press and hold the device image you want to unbind until the pop-up appears, and tap Unbind [unbind-button].
