Installation Instructions
General Safety Precautions:
- Always switch off the power supply before installation or maintenance.
- Installation should be performed by a qualified electrician in accordance with local and national electrical regulations.
- Do not stare into the LED light beam.
- Caution: Electronic components may be under high voltage. Do not touch them.
- Observe precautions for handling electrostatic sensitive devices.
Installation Steps:
- Power Supply Connection: Ensure the power supply is switched off. Connect the wires according to the diagrams provided for UN-SWITCHED / NON-MAINTAINED LINE or SWITCHED / MAINTAINED LINE. Torque wrench required for connections (e.g., 1 Nm, 2 Nm). Wire cross-section: 0.75-2.5 mm². Cable diameter: Ø8-12 mm for un-switched/non-maintained and Ø12-14 mm for DALI/switched/maintained lines.
- Through Wiring: Emergency luminaires are suitable for through wiring. The connection scheme is the same as for standard TW3 versions. Ensure the cable entry is secured with a 20 mm gland.
- Optional Cable Installation: If installing the cable in another location, switch off the power supply before installation. Ensure cable entry points are free of burrs to maintain IP65 protection.
- Silicon Plug Replacement: If necessary, replace the silicon plug with a non-silicone plug, ensuring proper sealing.
- Mounting: Follow the diagrams for mounting the luminaire. Ensure to use only the optical sub-assembly delivered with the housing in one box.
- Protection Foil: Remove the protection foil after installation and before usage.
Service and Maintenance
Light Source: The LED light source is non-user replaceable. It must be replaced by the manufacturer, their agent, or a similarly qualified person.
Battery Unit: The batteries have a life expectancy of 4 years. For the Battery Unit: Manufacturer: Philips, Unit: TrustSight 6.4V 4cell, Technology: Lithium-ion, Luminous flux: 500 lm, Capacity: 3000 mAh, Power: 3 W, Duration: 3 h, Nominal voltage: 6.4 V.
Periodic Testing: Periodic tests of emergency lighting luminaires must be performed according to EN50172. Simulate a failure of the supply to the normal lighting monthly to ensure illumination. Test for full rated duration (at least 3 hours) twice per year.

General Product Information and Safety
Storage, Installation, Use, Operation, and Maintenance: Products must be stored, installed, used, operated, and maintained exactly according to the instructions in this manual and any other provided instructions to ensure safe use throughout the product's lifetime. Failure to adhere to these instructions will invalidate warranty claims.
Torque Specifications: Bolts indicated with torque strength on drawings must be tightened using a calibrated torque wrench. Pre-assembled bolts need to be retightened to the required torque specification for maximum strength.
Battery Lifetime: Batteries have a life expectancy of 4 years.
Electrostatic Sensitive Devices: Observe precautions for handling electrostatic sensitive devices.
Zhaga-D4i and SR Certified Compatibility: For Zhaga-D4i/SR-Certified luminaires, only Zhaga-D4i/SR-Certified components/sensors are to be used. Functional compatibility and override possibilities require release by the master controller/sensor supplier. System verification is required when using a NEMA 7-pin socket on an SR-based luminaire. Failure to comply may result in damage and non-compliance for which Signify assumes no responsibility.
