1-1. Description & Specification

The JPC-12 is a compact and portable shortwave antenna designed to provide reliable signals in various locations. It operates within the frequency range of 40m to 6m (7MHz to 50MHz), making it suitable for a wide array of amateur radio applications. Its compact design allows for easy storage in a small bag, and the setup process is quick, taking approximately 5 minutes.

The new version of the JPC-12 features an optimized inductor coil utilizing manganese steel material. This enhances the strength of the shrapnel for more reliable contact with the coil and includes grooves in the contact position for accurate seating.

1-3. Installation Guide

Select a suitable location for the JPC-12 antenna base. Choose between using a tripod or a ground rod based on the situation.

Attach the connection ring of the radials directly over the ground rod or tripod and tighten it to the base. Subsequently, install the components in the following sequence: BASE, 4* ALUMINUM ARM, MULTI-BAND COIL, and finally the TELESCOPIC WHIP.

Notes

Note 1: An additional coil without a sliding regulator can be customized and added. If two coils are superimposed and combined with 20-meter radials, the antenna can operate in the 80-meter band.

Note 2: The JPC-12 antenna can be set up on a balcony. Ensure the base is securely fixed. The ground mesh can be laid on the balcony or hung down. For optimal performance, the vibrator can be positioned horizontally outside the balcony.

Note 3: Adjusting the whip for different bands:

• 7MHz: Collapse the whip approximately 10cm (indicated by the red line with the silver mark). SWR: 1.1-1.3.
• 14MHz: Collapse the whip approximately 20cm (indicated by the red line with the gold mark). SWR: 1.1-1.3.
• 21.4MHz: Use 4 sections of aluminum tube + 7 sections of antenna whip + 10cm. SWR: 1.1-1.3.
• 29.6MHz: Use the antenna whip only. Extend all sections and collapse half of them. SWR: 1.2.
