1-1. Description & Specification

The KC4 is a 4-band vertical antenna constructed from aluminum alloy. It operates on the 40m, 20m, 15m, and 10m bands. Users can trim the antenna to suit their specific band requirements. The antenna features automatic band switching, utilizing a single coaxial cable feed. Each band is individually tuned for a low VSWR. Fine-tuning allows for optimal SWR at the user's chosen frequency within each band. Band selection is fully automatic, requiring only a change of band on the radio. The KC4 employs top loading for increased efficiency from its short, self-supporting vertical radiator. It is designed for high wind environments and, after proper installation, can withstand a category one hurricane without the need for guying.

1-3. Installation Guide

A. Fix the main support with a U-shaped holding clamp and a fixing plate.

B. Insert the NO.1 main rod into the main support. Position the two ends for the matching box on the same side and secure with screws. Ensure components are fastened with screws and spanners.

C. Install the matching box. (Note: The red arrow indicates it is screwed to the rod.)

D. Insert the NO.2 rod inside the NO.1 rod and secure by tightening the external screws. Continue installing the remaining rods by following the sequential prompts.

E. Mount the antenna onto the support structure.

F. Finish the installation.

Note: The actual wind resistance capability is dependent on the installation method and the firmness of the mounting. Ensure proper lightning protection is in place.
