This document provides instructions for the Govee Permanent Outdoor Light Elite, Model H805C.
Safety Instructions
- The string light is rated IP67 water resistant and can be used outdoors, but should not be immersed in water for extended periods.
- The control box is rated IP65 and can be used outdoors, but should not be immersed in water.
- Risk of Electric Shock: The adapter must be installed only to a covered Class A GFCI receptacle with a weatherproof enclosure.
- To prevent the string light from falling, ensure it is installed using both the adhesive tape and the clips.
- Tighten the water-resistant cap before using the light.
- Keep this product away from children during assembly and installation.
- Avoid installing this product near major heat sources or other dangerous sources.
- External dimmers cannot be used with this product.
- Use only the provided power adapter.
- The light source is non-replaceable. The device should be replaced when the light source reaches the end of its life cycle.
- Caution: This product is not a toy. Children and disabled individuals should use it under adult supervision.
- To reduce the risk of strangulation, the flexible wiring connected to the luminaire should be effectively fixed to the wall if it is within arm's reach.

Control Box Functions:
- Press to turn on/off.
- Press and hold for 5 seconds to reset.
Disassembly Tip
The product consists of two parts: (1) a light source and (2) an adapter. By detaching the output terminal of the adapter, you can easily remove the light source or the adapter.
Pairing Your Light with Govee Home App
What You Need
- A Wi-Fi router supporting 2.4GHz and 802.11 b/g/n bands (5GHz is not supported).
- A smartphone or tablet running iOS 8.0 and above or Android 4.3 and above.
Steps to pair:
- Download the Govee Home App from the App Store (iOS) or Google Play (Android).
- Turn on your smartphone's Bluetooth.
- Open the app, tap the '+' icon in the top right corner, and search for "H805C".
- Tap the device icon and follow the on-screen instructions to complete pairing.
Controlling the Light with Your Voice
- Open the Govee Home app and tap the device icon to enter the details page.
- Tap the settings icon in the top right corner.
- Select "User Guide" and follow the on-screen instructions to control the device using your voice.

Troubleshooting
(1) The light does not work. / Part of the light does not light up.
- Check if the adapter is working. A dim green light on the front of the adapter indicates normal operation.
- In the Govee Home app, go to the device details page, tap the settings icon, and adjust "Settings of Number of Segments".
- Ensure wire connectors between string lights are properly connected.
- Long press the control box for more than 5 seconds to reset the entire light.
- Remove the last working string light and connect each non-working string light individually to the working ones. Repeat until the malfunctioning lights are identified.
(2) Cannot connect to Wi-Fi.
- Do not skip Wi-Fi connection steps in the app.
- Ensure your home Wi-Fi is 2.4 GHz and your smartphone's Bluetooth is enabled.
- Long press the control box for more than 5 seconds to reset the entire light.
- Connect your smartphone to Wi-Fi and verify the network is working correctly.
- Ensure you have entered the correct Wi-Fi name and password.
- If the device is too far from the Wi-Fi router, move it closer and try reconnecting.
- If too many devices are connected to the network, try a different network.
(7) The adhesive tape is not strong enough.
- Use the clips to securely fasten the light during installation.
- Ensure the installation surface is dust-free, smooth, and dry before applying the tape.
- The 3M adhesive is less effective after a single use. Avoid repeated application. If the adhesive detaches, replace it with a new one.
- For rough roof surfaces, it is recommended to use clips with screws.
- Due to the nature of the adhesive, initial tack is low at low temperatures. Warm up the adhesive and installation area for best results.
