IKEA VÄTTERSÖ Outdoor Storage Box Assembly Instructions

This document provides instructions for assembling the IKEA VÄTTERSÖ outdoor storage box.

Important Information

Screws for fixing to the floor are not included as floor materials vary. For recommendations on suitable screw systems, contact your local specialized retailer.

Parts List and Assembly Steps

The assembly process involves connecting various frame components and attaching the cover. Please refer to the diagrams for specific part counts and connections.

Step 1: Frame Assembly (Part 1)

Connect five (5x) long frame pieces and four (4x) shorter frame pieces as shown in the diagram. Ensure the correct pieces are used.

Step 2: Frame Assembly (Part 2)

Continue assembling the frame by connecting the pieces as indicated. Use the provided connectors (4x T-shaped connectors).

Step 3: Attaching the Cover

Drape the cover over the assembled frame. Secure the cover by inserting the frame pieces into the designated slots on the cover. This is shown with arrows indicating the direction of insertion.

Step 4: Securing the Frame

Insert ten (10x) securing clips into the frame to hold it together. A 'click' sound indicates proper insertion.

Step 5: Further Frame Securing

Insert eight (8x) more securing clips to further stabilize the frame structure.

Step 6: Adding Vertical Supports

Insert vertical support poles into the frame. Arrows indicate the direction of insertion.

Step 7: Finalizing Vertical Supports

Insert eight (8x) more securing clips to fix the vertical supports in place.

Step 8: Attaching Curved Supports

Attach two (2x) curved support pieces to the top of the frame. Use four (4x) connectors to secure them.

Step 9: Securing Curved Supports

Insert four (4x) clips to secure the curved supports. Another four (4x) clips are used to secure these supports to the main frame.

Step 10: Adding Horizontal Supports

Connect three (3x) horizontal support pieces to the frame.

Step 11: Securing Horizontal Supports

Insert four (4x) clips to secure the horizontal supports. Another four (4x) clips are used to attach them to the frame.

Step 12: Final Frame Connections

Insert ten (10x) clips to finalize the frame connections.

Step 13: Finalizing Top Supports

Insert two (2x) clips to secure the top supports. A 'click' sound indicates proper insertion.

Step 14: Finalizing Top Connections

Insert two (2x) clips to secure the top frame. Another two (2x) connectors are used to attach these to the frame.

Step 15: Finalizing Structure

Insert three (3x) clips to complete the structure's assembly.

Step 16: Lid Attachment and Weight Limit

Attach the lid to the storage box. The maximum weight capacity for the lid is 20 kg (44 lbs).

Step 17: Closing the Lid

Close the lid of the storage box. Arrows indicate the closing motion.

Step 18: Optional Floor Fixing

For added stability, the storage box can be fixed to the floor using two (2x) screws. Ensure you use appropriate screws for your floor type.
