VÄTTERSÖ Outdoor Storage Box Assembly Instructions

This document provides assembly instructions for the IKEA VÄTTERSÖ outdoor storage box.

Important Information

As floor materials vary, screws for fixing to the floor are not included. For recommendations on suitable screw systems, contact your local specialized retailer.

Assembly Steps

Step 1

Insert 5 medium rods into the designated slots on the storage box cover. Ensure the rods are fully inserted.

Step 2

Connect the frame pieces. Use 4x corner connectors to join the rods, forming the base structure.

Attach the cover to the frame. Align the cover with the frame and secure it by inserting the rods into the corresponding openings.

Step 4

Secure the cover to the frame. Use 10x fasteners to attach the cover to the frame, ensuring a snug fit. A 'click' sound indicates proper fastening.

Step 5

Continue securing the cover. Use 8x fasteners to further secure the cover to the frame.

Step 6

Insert vertical support rods. Place 4x vertical support rods into the corner connectors.

Step 7

Continue inserting vertical support rods. Use 8x fasteners to secure the vertical rods.

Step 8

Attach the curved support rods. Insert 2x curved rods into the designated slots at the top of the box. Use 4x connectors to secure them.

Step 9

Secure the top frame. Insert 4x rods into the top connectors and secure them with 4x fasteners. A 'click' indicates proper fastening.

Step 10

Connect the remaining rods. Use 3x rods to connect the vertical supports.

Step 11

Secure the top frame. Use 4x fasteners to secure the top frame. A 'click' indicates proper fastening. Use 4x fasteners to secure the side panels.

Step 12

Final securing. Use 10x fasteners to secure the entire structure.

Step 13

Attach the handles. Insert 2x rods into the handle slots and secure them with fasteners. A 'click' indicates proper fastening.

Final assembly. Use 2x fasteners to secure the top lid. Use 2x rods to connect the lid supports.

Step 15

Secure the lid. Use 3x fasteners to secure the lid.

Step 16

The storage box is now assembled. The lid can support a maximum weight of 20 kg (44 lbs).

Step 17

Close the lid. Secure the lid using the provided fasteners.

Optional: For added stability, the storage box can be fixed to the floor using screws (not included). Use 2x screws for this purpose.
