- Operates with magnetic (induction) iron pots and pans only. Flat bottom cookware is recommended for optimal heat distribution.
- To ensure correct operation, the cooktop requires sufficient ventilation from the rear or base of the cabinet. Refer to installation instructions for details.
- Appliance can be snapped into the countertop from above.
- Appliance weight: approximately 22 lbs.
Surface-mount Installation:
- Countertop Cut-out: 14 15/16 inches (380 mm) wide by 20 1/2 inches (520 mm) deep.

- Countertop Cut-out: 14 3/16 inches ± 1/16 inch (360 ± 1 mm) wide by 19 3/8 inches ± 1/16 inch (492 ± 1 mm) deep.
- Installation is possible in countertops made of stone, synthetics, or solid wood.
- Heat-resistant and watertight sealing of cut edges is required. Consult the countertop manufacturer for suitable heat-resistant filler.
- A continuous and even groove is necessary for uniform placement of the appliance on the gasket.
- The joint width may vary due to tolerances.
- If installing multiple Vario products in individual cut-outs, allow a minimum distance of 2 inches (50 mm) between cooktops.
- Immersion depth: 2 5/8" to 2 3/4" (70 mm) depending on installation type.
