Safety Recommendations

• Do not attempt self-repair; this invalidates the warranty. Repairs must be carried out by qualified technicians.
• Keep the unit dry. Do not use in rain or snow.
• Ensure the feeding hopper lid is well covered during operation. Ti powder fires can only be extinguished with sand. Keep Ti powder away from moisture and store in a dry, sealed environment.
• Do not mount on flammable surfaces (linoleum, carpet, wood, paper, carton, plastic, etc.). Maintain a minimum distance of 3 meters from the unit for audience and flammable materials. Ensure sparks do not touch any objects.
• Clean the unit before and after use. Remove all Ti residue from pipes and nozzle to prevent performance issues or damage. Allow the unit to cool for at least 5 minutes after power off.
• Do not use in confined spaces. Install in a well-ventilated location, at least 50cm from adjacent surfaces.
• For heat dissipation, do not block air intake and outlet.
• Do not cover the nozzle. Do not aim the nozzle at people or objects.
• After use, remove gas cartridges and store them in a cool, ventilated place away from direct sunlight.

Control Panel

Features indicators for errors (Error Indicator), DMX signal (DMX Signal Indicator), and operation status (RUN LED). Controls include MENU, ENTER, Decrease, and Increase buttons.

Rear Panel Connectors

• DMX OUT: For connecting to the next device in a DMX chain.
• DMX IN: For receiving DMX signal from a controller.
• POWER IN: For connecting the main power supply.
• POWER OUT: For daisy-chaining power to another machine.
• IMPULSE: 12V control signal input for triggering without a DMX controller.
• ON/OFF Switch: Powers the unit on or off.

Connections

Power Connection: Plug the supplied mains lead into the POWER IN socket. For daisy-chaining, use the POWER OUT socket to connect to the next unit's POWER IN.

DMX Connection: Use a 3-pin DMX cable. Connect from your DMX controller's DMX OUT to the unit's DMX IN. For daisy-chaining, connect the unit's DMX OUT to the next unit's DMX IN.

IMPULSE Terminals: Connecting an external 12V control signal here allows the machine to load gas and fire automatically once gas charging is complete. This is useful for firing systems that do not require a DMX controller.

Cable Connectors: Cables should have a male XLR connector on one end and a female XLR connector on the other.

Installation

Machine Installation: Install the machine on a solid horizontal surface or truss using the four M8 nuts on the base plate.

Angle Adjustment: The firing angle can be adjusted between 15° and 60° in 5° steps. Pull the lock pin upwards, adjust the angle, and release the pin to secure the position.

Gas Cartridge Installation

Butane Gas Requirements: Use approved quality butane gas. Cartridges must be Ø68 x 180mm with a volume of 220 ±5g.

Installation Steps:

1. Locate the gas cartridge compartment on the right side of the machine. Open the hatch to access the two compartments.
2. Each compartment has symbols indicating orientation. Remove the cartridge cap.
3. Align the notch on the cartridge top with the [UNLOCK] sign.
4. Push the cartridge fully into the compartment and turn it towards the [LOCK] sign. Ensure it is securely installed and cannot pop back out.
5. Repeat for the second cartridge. Close the compartment.
6. To remove a cartridge, turn it to the [UNLOCK] position and pull it out. Replace the cap to prevent gas leakage during storage.

Filling the Granulate

Use MEDIUM size granulate (Order Code: SPARK-POWDER-MEDIUM) for 2-3m spark fountains.

Steps:

1. Loosen the hopper screw on the nozzle and remove the hopper.
2. Turn the hopper upside down and unscrew the cap.
3. Fill the hopper with granulate as shown in the illustration.
4. Close the hopper, turn it upside down, place it on the nozzle, and secure it with the screw.

DMX Control

DMX Parameters:

• CH1: 0-9 (Fire off), 10-255 (Fire on)
• CH2: 0-9 (Close gas loading), 10-255 (Start gas loading)

Operation:

• Power On: Connect to mains, switch ON/OFF to ON. RUN LED lights red. DMX light lights red if a DMX controller is connected.
• DMX Control: Connect a DMX512 controller via DMX cable to the DMX IN connector. Set CH2 potentiometer to maximum. Wait approximately 7 seconds until the RUN indicator flashes green. Set CH1 potentiometer to maximum to shoot sparks. Lower both potentiometers to minimum. To shoot again, set CH2 to maximum (wait for RUN to flash green quickly), then set CH1 to maximum.

Error Messages

• Error E1: Lack of granulate. Fill the hopper.
• Error E3: Lack or leakage of gas. Replace gas cartridges.

Power Off and Cleaning

1. Turn off the machine.
2. Disconnect the power and DMX signal cables.
3. Remove gas cartridges and store them in a cool, dark, well-ventilated place away from sunlight.
4. Check for and remove any foreign objects inside the machine.
