Disconnect Device

Where the MAINS plug or an appliance coupler is used as the disconnect device, it shall remain readily operable.

Installation

This fixture may be mounted vertically on a ceiling or truss, or placed on a level surface, provided there is adequate room for ventilation.

Rigging

The LED moving head provides a unique mounting bracket assembly that integrates the base, the included 'omega bracket', and the safety cable rigging point. When mounting on a truss, use an appropriate clamp with the omega bracket and an M10 screw through the center hole. As an added safety measure, attach at least one properly rated safety cable to the fixture using the integrated rigging points.

Fuse Replacement

  • Disconnect the power cord before replacing a fuse and always replace with the same type fuse.
  • Turn the fuse knob to access the fuse.
  • Remove the damaged fuse and replace with the same type.
  • Close the fuse compartment and reconnect power.

DMX Connection

Connect an XLR cable from your controller's 3-pin XLR output to the fixture's 3-pin XLR input. A serial data link is needed for light shows with one or more fixtures using a DMX-512 controller, or for synchronized shows in master/slave mode. The total number of channels required by all fixtures on a link determines the link's capacity.

Important: Fixtures must be daisy-chained in a single line. Maximum recommended serial data link distance: 100 meters (328ft). Maximum recommended number of fixtures: 11.

The cable should be two-core, screened cable with XLR input and output connectors.

Data Cabling

To link fixtures, use data cables. For custom cables, use data-grade cables for high-quality signals, less prone to electromagnetic interference.

Cable Connectors

Cabling requires a male XLR connector on one end and a female XLR connector on the other. Termination reduces signal errors. Connecting a DMX signal terminator is advisable to avoid transmission problems and interference.

Caution

Do not allow contact between the common and the fixture's chassis ground. Grounding the common can cause a ground loop and erratic performance. Test cables with an ohm meter to check polarity and ensure pins are not grounded or shorted to the shield.

Clean internal and external optical lenses and mirrors periodically due to fog residue, smoke, and dust to optimize light output. Cleaning frequency depends on the environment. For heavy club use, clean monthly. Periodic cleaning ensures longevity and crisp output.

  1. Wipe the casing with normal glass cleaner and a soft cloth.
  2. Brush the cooling vents and fan grill.
  3. Clean external optics with glass cleaner and a soft cloth every 20 days.
  4. Clean internal optics with glass cleaner and a soft cloth every 30-60 days.
  5. Ensure all parts are completely dry before plugging the unit back in.
