Reference Parts
Diagram showing the components of the security light. Part A is the main light fixture. Part B is a mounting bar. Part C is an EVA gasket. Part D is a mounting bracket screw. Part E is a mounting screw. Part F is a wire nut. Each part is labeled with its corresponding letter and quantity.
Part | Description | Quantity |
---|---|---|
A | Light fixture | 1PC |
B | Mounting bar | 1PC |
C | EVA gasket | 1PC |
D | Mounting bracket screw | 1PC |
E | Mounting screw | 6PCS (3 groups) |
F | Wire nut | 3PCS |
Parameters
- Illumination output: approx. 1600 lumens / 5000K
- Wattage: 18W
- Power source: AC120V/60Hz
- Detect range: up to 40 feet (12m), 180 degrees
How to Install
- Install the mounting bar to the outlet box with the stamped word "FRONT" facing away from the outlet box, use two mounting screws that best fit the outlet box. (Choose one group of suitable mounting screws among three groups in the hardware pack)
Note: For the best performance, install fixture at 8 feet ~12 feet (2.4~3.6m) above the ground. - Unscrew ball nuts on the light fixture in order to remove the mounting bracket on the back of the light fixture. Thread fixture wires through gasket, and then attach the gasket to the back of the mounting bracket.
- Connect the source wires from the outlet box with the power supply wire of light fixture using wire nuts as follows:
Connect the white wire to white.
Connect the black wire to black.
Note: DO NOT connect electricity before installation and maintenance. - Place mounting bracket against the outlet box, insert the mounting bracket screw through the mounting bracket hole, thread mounting bracket screw into the center hole of the mounting bar. Tighten the mounting bracket screw securely.
Note: The "UP" arrow must point upward. - Attach the back plate of the light fixture to the mounting bracket; secure it with the ball nuts.
- Use silicone caulking compound, caulk completely around where the mounting bracket meets the wall surface to prevent water from seeping into the outlet box.
Diagram illustrating the installation process. It shows an electrical outlet box, the mounting bar secured to it, the gasket, the mounting bracket, and the light fixture's back plate being attached. Wires are shown connecting via wire nuts. Key components labeled include: Outlet Box, Mounting Bar, Gasket, Mounting Bracket, Mounting Bracket Screw, Light Head, Back Plate, Ball Nut, Sensor.
How It Works
Adjusting the lamp heads and motion sensor
- Swing the lamp heads horizontal or vertical to adjust the light coverage area.
Note: Keep the light head 30 degrees below horizontal to avoid water damage and electrical shock. - Gently grasp the motion sensor and rotate it horizontal so the controls are facing the mounting bracket and two dots are in alignment.
Diagram showing the motion sensor and adjustment knobs. The motion sensor is depicted with alignment dots. Below it are three control knobs labeled LUX, SENS, and TIME, each with '+' and '-' indicators for adjustment.
Product Function Description
- LUX is adjustable, by rotating the "LUX" knob clockwise, the corresponding light intensity value is larger, and vice versa.
- MOTION SENSITIVITY is adjustable, by rotating the "SENS" knob. Walk through the detection zone at the farthest distance you wish to detect motion.
Note: Approximate range for each setting from 9 feet to 40 feet. - STAND-BY time is adjustable (5s ~ 3 minutes), by rotating the "TIME" knob clockwise, the corresponding delay time is longer, and vice versa.
Note: Set the "LUX" knob in "*" mode to test lighting and sensitivity. - MANUAL OVERRIDE: The motion sensor is continuous on at night. The light will turn off automatically at dawn.
To turn manual override on, turn the wall switch "OFF", then turn it "ON" within 3 seconds; the light will remain on all night long.
To turn manual override off, turn the wall switch "OFF", then turn it "ON" within 3 seconds again; the light will reset to motion sensor mode.
Cleaning and Maintenance
- Clean periodically with soft cloth.
- Do not use any cleaners with chemicals, solvents or harsh abrasives on this light. Do not use scouring pads, powders, steel wool or abrasive paper. They could cause deterioration of the finish.
