Congratulations on the purchase of your new Product. We have done our best to make your experience as enjoyable as possible. If you have questions about setting up your Product and would like some helpful guidance, we recommend visiting the relevant country-specific support website for your Product: www.jbl.com. There you will also find relevant contact information. If you cannot find the information you are looking for, please contact the retailer who sold you the Product, or contact the relevant JBL customer center electronically or by phone.
We recommend registering your Product via the relevant country-specific website for your Product. Your registration will allow us to inform you about updates for certain Products, possible offers, and new Products and/or applications. Registration is easy. Simply follow the instructions on the relevant country-specific website for your Product.
Important Note
NOTE: THIS LIMITED WARRANTY DOES NOT APPLY TO CONSUMERS IN MEMBER STATES OF THE EUROPEAN ECONOMIC AREA (EEA) AND THE RUSSIAN FEDERATION, AS THEY ARE PROTECTED BY LOCAL CONSUMER LAWS AND BENEFIT FROM LOCAL STATUTORY WARRANTIES.
Limited Warranty
Who is Covered by the Warranty
The limited warranty (the "Limited Warranty") covers only the original end-user ("you" or "your") and is non-transferable and valid only in the country (excluding EEA member states and the Russian Federation) where you originally purchased your JBL Product ("Product"). Any attempt to transfer this warranty will immediately void the warranty.
Limited Warranty Terms
HARMAN International Industries, Incorporated ("HARMAN") is the manufacturer, and through its local subsidiary, warrants to you that the Product (including components supplied with/in the Product) will be free from defects in workmanship and materials for a period of ONE year from the date of your purchase ("Warranty Period"). During this Warranty Period, the Product (and its components) will be repaired or replaced at HARMAN's sole discretion, at no charge for any parts or labor, OR at HARMAN's sole discretion, the price of the Product may be refunded, subject to depreciation based on your purchase price for the Product, professionally assessed over the remaining balance of the Warranty Period. Any warranty service or replacement of parts will not extend the Warranty Period.
This Limited Warranty does not cover defects resulting from:
- (1) damage caused by accident, abuse, or neglect (including failure to provide reasonable necessary maintenance);
- (2) damage during shipment (claims must be made with the carrier);
- (3) damage to, or deterioration of, any accessory or decorative finish;
- (4) damage due to failure to follow the user guide;
- (5) damage resulting from repairs performed by someone other than an authorized JBL service center;
- (6) deterioration of components which is normal due to use or degradation, such as batteries or headphone earpads.
Furthermore, this Limited Warranty only covers actual defects within the Product itself, and does not cover costs for installation into or removal from a fixed installation, setup or adjustments, claims based on seller's misrepresentation, performance variations resulting from installation-related circumstances such as source quality or AC power, or Product modifications, any unit where the serial number has been defaced, altered, or removed, or units used for anything other than home use. This Limited Warranty is valid only for JBL products purchased from an authorized dealer.
Unless expressly prohibited by applicable law in your jurisdiction, all implied warranties, including warranties of fitness for a particular purpose and merchantability, are hereby excluded and in no event shall HARMAN or any of HARMAN's subsidiaries be liable for any indirect, direct, incidental, special, or consequential damages (including, without limitation, economic loss) arising out of the use of or inability to use the Product, even if HARMAN and/or any of HARMAN's subsidiaries has been advised of the possibility of such damages. To the extent that HARMAN cannot lawfully disclaim implied warranties under this Limited Warranty, all such implied warranties will be limited in duration to the duration of this warranty. Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages or exclusions or limitations on the duration of implied warranties or conditions, so the above limitations or exclusions may not apply to you. This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights which vary by jurisdiction.
How to Obtain Warranty Service
Contact the retailer who sold you this Product, or contact JBL customer service using the contact information on the relevant country-specific website for your Product to request warranty service. To verify your entitlement to this Limited Warranty, please present the original receipt or other proof of ownership and date of purchase. Do not return the product without prior authorization from the responsible retailer or HARMAN. HARMAN Product warranty repair must be performed by an authorized dealer or service center. Unauthorized warranty repair will void the warranty and is performed at your own risk.
You are also welcome to consult the relevant country-specific HARMAN service website regarding your Product for helpful guidance.
Who Pays for What
This Limited Warranty covers all expenses for labor and materials necessary for the repair OR replacement of the Product that is defective, and a reasonable cost for return shipping within the country where it is repaired. Please be sure to save the original shipping carton(s), as a fee will be charged for additional packaging/repackaging.
You will be charged the fee for the examination of a unit that does not require repair (including shipping costs), or for necessary repairs not covered by this Limited Warranty.
