1. Meet Your Dolphin Smart Tracker Rex

The Dolphin Smart Tracker Rex is a small, circular device designed for tracking items. It measures approximately 32mm in diameter and 7.9mm in thickness.

2. Set up your Dolphin Smart tracker Rex

Follow these steps to set up your Dolphin Smart Tracker Rex:

1. Step 1: Install 'Google's Find Hub' App

   Scan the provided QR code to download the app from [Google Play]. The app is compatible with Android Version 12+.

2. Step 2: Sign in

   Open the app and sign in using your Google account credentials.

3. Step 3: Connect the Dolphin Smart Tracker to your phone

   Press the power button on the Dolphin Tracker Rex until you hear a beep. Bring the tracker near your phone. Once the Fast Pair pop-up appears, tap 'Connect' (this may take up to 10 seconds). Read the terms of use carefully and proceed by clicking 'Agree and continue'. Tap 'Done' to complete the setup. You will then be prompted to set a device name for your Dolphin Tracker Rex and choose a category (e.g., keys, bag, wallet) to help organize your devices.

3. Dolphin Smart Tracker Settings

The Dolphin Smart Tracker Rex offers several features accessible through the Google's Find Hub app:

I. View on Map

Open the Google's Find Hub app and view your Rex Tag's current or last known location on the map.

II. Play Sound

If the Rex Tag is nearby, tap 'Play Sound' to make it emit a beep, helping you locate it quickly.

III. Find Nearby

Use the 'Find Nearby' feature (if available) to get proximity guidance as you get closer to the Rex Tag.

IV. Share with Trusted Contacts

To Share (Sender):

1. Select Your REX Tag from the list of devices (e.g., "Backpack," "Keys").
2. Tap 'Share Device' or 'Share with others'.
3. Choose Trusted Contacts by selecting a Google Contact or entering the Gmail address of the person you want to share the tag with.
4. Tap 'Send' to invite them. The receiver will be notified.
5. You can manage sharing access (view, add, or revoke) anytime from your sharing settings.

To Receive Shared Access (Receiver):

1. Open the temporary sharing link received via message or email immediately, as it is time-sensitive and may expire.
2. Accept the invitation through a browser or the Find My Device app. This links the shared REX Tag to your Google Account.
3. Ensure you have the Google's Find My Device app installed and are logged into the same Google Account where the tag was shared. Find the REX Tag in your device list.

V. Mark as Lost

Get notified if your Rex Tag goes out of range. Select your Rex Tag, tap 'Mark as lost' under Actions, add a contact number and message (optional), and confirm to activate. You can enable 'Notify When Found' to receive alerts when another Android device detects it.

VI. Get directions

Tap 'Get directions' to open maps and follow the directions to the tracker's location. The app will fetch the current location.

VII. Remove Your Rex Tag

To remove the tag from Find My Device, ensure it is nearby and connected. In the Find My Device app, tap 'Remove Item'. You will hear a chime when done. Do not remove while 'Lost Mode' is active, as this will lock the tag for future use. The location will no longer be available in Find My Device.

VIII. Factory Reset Your Rex Tag

To reset the tag for pairing with a new device, follow these steps:

1. Press the button 2 times (you will hear 1 beep).
2. Press the button 4 quick times.
3. On the 5th press, hold the button until you hear a ring-ring chime. Your tag is now reset and ready to pair with a new device.

4. Battery and Lanyard Replacement

To replace the battery and lanyard:

1. Insert a shell opening tool into the case.
2. Rotate the tool 90 degrees to open the shell.
3. Use your fingernails at the small gap on the side of the Item Locator to carefully open the case.
4. Replace the battery with a new CR2032 battery (3V), ensuring the positive pole faces upward.
5. Close the case.
6. To attach the lanyard, open the shell slightly, insert the lanyard into the column, and then close the cover.

1. How will Rex help in my daily life?

   Rex is designed to help you locate items that are often misplaced, such as keys, wallets, luggage, important documents, cameras, and other valuables. By attaching the coin-sized Rex to these items, you can easily track and find them using the Google's Find Hub app on your Android smartphone.

2. Can I use Rex outside my country?

   Yes, Rex works with the Google's Find Hub app, allowing you to track your items globally. This means you can locate your belongings across countries and continents without any issues.

3. Can I use Rex Tag with my computer or laptop?

   Rex Tag works with phones, tablets, and Chromebooks. It is not supported on Windows or Mac laptops.

   Compatible devices: Android phones & tablets, Chromebooks (ChromeOS)

   Not supported: Windows laptops, MacBooks

4. Do I need a SIM card or data plan for Rex to work?

   No, Rex does not require a SIM card or data plan. It operates via Bluetooth and utilizes Google's Find My Device network to help you track your belongings.

5. How does Rex help me find my items within Bluetooth range?

   Within Bluetooth range, simply tap 'Play sound' on the Google's Find Hub app, and your Rex will start beeping loudly—up to 100 dB—making it easy for you to hear and locate it.

6. What if I'm outside the Bluetooth range of Rex?

   Even when you are outside the Bluetooth range, you can still check the last location detected by Google's Find My Device network along with the last seen time. Select 'Get Directions' to open maps and follow the directions to reach your Rex. Once near, Rex will automatically connect to your phone, and you can simply tap 'Play Sound' to find it.

   Yes, millions of Android devices around the world can help you find your Rex. The tag sends out secure Bluetooth signals that other Android devices can detect, and the updated location is shared with you on the Google's Find Hub app. You can even turn on 'Lost mode' to get notified as soon as someone finds it.

   The Rex Tag uses Google's Find My Device network to help you track lost items, even when they're out of range. Once set up, it sends a secure Bluetooth signal detected by nearby Android devices, which anonymously update its location to your account so you can see it on the map, even without internet or a direct connection.

   Yes, you can share your Rex Tag with others. Google's Find My Device network allows multiple users to track and manage the same tag by sharing access through their Google accounts.
