Before Using Product
Read and follow all instructions carefully to ensure proper assembly. Improper assembly can make the crate unsafe. Keep these instructions for future reference.
Assembly Instructions
Step 1: Prepare the Base
Place the crate on the ground with the tray at the bottom. Unhook the latch on the side of the crate.
Step 2: Unfold Panels
Unfold the crate panels, similar to opening a book. Pull upwards from the center of the panels to expand the crate structure.
Step 3: Secure the Door
Hold the top panel up. Reach inside the crate and pull the door panel forward until it snaps into the 7 hooks located around the crate edges. Note: A firm pull helps the hooks snap into place.
Step 4: Final Assembly
Repeat Step 3 on the other side of the crate. Attach the handle to the center top panel, as illustrated. Note: The bottom tray is removable for cleaning. Do not carry the pet in the crate using the handle.
Operating the Door
To Open
Lift the locking handle and slide it to the left to release it from the crate frame. If your crate has multiple locking handles, repeat for all handles. Note: Extra small and small size crates have one latch on the front door.
To Close
Lift the locking handle, slide it fully to the left, and close the door. Then, slide the handle to the right and push down to secure it to the crate frame. If your crate has multiple locking handles, repeat for all handles.
Disassembling the Crate
Step 1: Release Door Hooks
Unhook the 7 hooks around the door panel edges by pushing the panel into the crate.
Step 2: Release Other Side
Repeat Step 1 on the other side of the crate.
Step 3: Collapse Panels
Allow the panels to collapse flat. Fold them, similar to closing a book.
Step 4: Secure Folded Crate
Hook the latch on the side of the crate to secure all the panels together.
Care and Maintenance
Periodically inspect the crate for damage, wear, or missing parts. Do not use if any part is missing, worn, or damaged. Clean with warm water and a mild detergent. Avoid abrasive cleaners or bleach. Do not machine wash.
90 Days Limited Warranty
Carlson Pet Products, Inc. warrants this item against defects in materials or workmanship for 90 days from the date of original purchase. This warranty applies to reasonable, non-commercial use and maintenance. Carlson Pet Products, Inc. will replace or repair the item at its option. Proof of purchase is required.
Safety Warnings
⚠️ WARNING:
- For use with pets only.
- To avoid choking and other serious injuries, remove all collars, harnesses, pet clothing, and other items before allowing a pet in the crate.
- This crate is not designed to restrain aggressive breeds of dogs.
- Never use a crate as a method of punishment.
- Pets should not be left unattended in the crate unless you are certain they will respond properly to being alone.
- Pets should have access to food and water at all times while in the crate.
- Do not place other items, such as toys, in the crate unless your veterinarian or trainer advises it is safe.
- Do not allow more than one pet in the crate at a time.
- Do not allow children to play in, on, or around the crate.
- Keep the crate door closed around children to prevent injury from protruding hinge or latch pins.
- If any structural component is discovered to be broken or missing, stop use of the crate immediately.
