1 Home Screen
The Home screen is the central hub for your Google TV, providing access to entertainment options from apps and live TV. It is organized in rows to help you discover content from your favorite apps. You can add more rows or find new apps. Apps may populate recommendations based on your viewing habits.
Highlights on your home screen
Tabs like Home, Apps, Library, and Search allow you to discover movies and shows from your services and popular apps. Signing into your Google Account provides personalized recommendations. You can also use voice or text input for Google search.
Apps
The Apps tab lists all installed applications and allows you to add favorites from the Google Play Store.
Navigation
Navigate easily to find content, pick up where you left off, or locate specific apps. Personalized recommendations are available across all your media services when you sign in to your Google Account.
1.2 Dashboard and Settings
The Dashboard is a side panel offering access to Settings, device controls, and notifications. Access it via the profile icon on the Home screen or by pressing the DASHBOARD key on the remote.
Features include:
- Settings: Access all TV settings.
- Clock and screensaver: View the system clock and activate the screensaver.
- Inputs: Launch the input source list.
- Picture: Quick link to picture settings.
- Notifications: View system messages.
1.3 Basic Mode and Full Mode
Basic Mode: Includes Live TV and external device features only.
Full Mode: Requires a Google account and internet connection. Offers all Basic Mode features plus personalized Google services, streaming app content, and Google Assistant integration.
1.4 Open the Home Screen
Press HOME on the remote to open the Home screen. Select an item and press OK to open or start it. Press Back or HOME to return to the Home screen.
2 Setting Up
2.1 Read Safety
Read all safety instructions before using the TV.
2.2 TV Stand and Wall Mounting
TV Stand: Instructions for mounting the TV stand are in the Quick Start Guide.
Wall Mounting: The TV supports wall mounting brackets (sold separately). Refer to your product package for the correct wall mount size. Ensure the wall mount is suitable for the TV's weight and follow safety precautions.
2.3 Tips on Placement
- Position the TV away from direct light sources.
- Maintain an ideal viewing distance of 2 to 5 times the screen's diagonal size. Eye level should be with the center of the screen.
- When wall-mounted, keep the TV up to 15 cm away from the wall.
Note: Keep the TV away from dust-producing sources like stoves. Clean dust regularly.
2.4 Power Cable
- Connect the power cable to the AC connector on the back of the TV.
- Ensure the power cable is securely inserted.
- The power plug must remain accessible.
- Always pull the plug, not the cord, when disconnecting.
Unplug the TV to save energy when not in use for extended periods.
3 Remote Control
3.1 Key Overview
The remote control uses Bluetooth® and IR for commands. Key functions include:
- POWER: Turn TV on/off.
- Number Buttons: Select channels or input numbers.
- INFO: Access information, setup audio language, or subtitle language.
- AD: Toggle audio description.
- SOURCE: Access the source menu.
- FAV: Access favorite channels.
- TEXT: Access teletext.
- MIC: Activate voice search. Short press for voice assistant, long press for voice commands.
- ACCOUNT: Sign in with your Google account.
- DASHBOARD: Access the Google TV dashboard.
- Navigation Buttons (UP/DOWN/LEFT/RIGHT): Navigate menus and change channels.
- OK: Confirm selection or access Quick Button list.
- BACK: Return to the previous screen or exit.
- GUIDE: Access the Electronic Program Guide.
- HOME: Access the Home screen.
- VOL +/-: Adjust volume.
- EXIT: Exit current operation.
- Fast Backward/Forward (◄◄/►►): Control media playback.
- MUTE: Mute or restore TV sound.
- Color Buttons: Execute specific functions.
- Application Buttons: Launch specific applications.
- Compound Button: Set shortcut key or open virtual keyboard.
3.2 Voice Search
Search for content using your voice. Pair the remote control to the TV first.
To use Voice Search:
- Press the Google Assistant™ button on the remote. The blue light will illuminate, and the microphone will activate.
- Speak your search query clearly. The microphone is active for 10 seconds.
- Select your desired item from the search results.
3.3 IR Sensor
The TV receives commands via IR. Ensure the remote control points at the IR sensor on the front of the TV. Do not block the sensor.
3.4 Batteries and Cleaning
Replace batteries: Refer to the Quick Start Guide. If the remote is unresponsive, batteries may be low. Slide the battery door open, replace batteries ensuring correct polarity, and close the door.
Cleaning: Use a soft, damp cloth. Do not use alcohol, chemicals, or household cleaners.
4 Switching On and Off
Ensure the TV is connected to mains power. The indicator light is at the bottom of the TV.
Switch on
Press POWER on the remote or use the joystick key on the bottom of the TV.
Switch to standby
Press POWER on the remote or use the joystick key on the bottom of the TV.
In standby mode, the TV consumes minimal energy. To switch off completely, disconnect the power plug.
5 Connecting Devices
5.1 About Connections
Connectivity Guide: Connect devices using the highest quality connection available and good quality cables for optimal picture and sound. The TV automatically recognizes device types and can be configured to switch to ideal settings when a device is selected.
Internet
Supports high-speed Internet connections up to 100/10 Mbps via LAN.
HDMI ports
HDMI ARC: HDMI 1 supports HDMI ARC (Audio Return Channel) for connecting Home Theatre Systems (HTS), soundbars, or AV receivers. This eliminates the need for a separate audio cable.
HDMI CEC: Allows control of CEC-compatible devices with the TV remote. Ensure CEC is enabled on both the TV and the connected device.
- Switch on CEC: Settings > Channels & Inputs > Inputs > HDMI control.
- Device auto power off: Turns off HDMI devices when the TV is turned off. Settings > Channels & Inputs > Inputs > Device auto power off.
- TV auto power on: Powers on the TV with HDMI devices. Settings > Channels & Inputs > Inputs > TV auto power on.
- HDMI EDID Version: Check HDMI EDID version. Settings > Channels & Inputs > Inputs > HDMI EDID Version.
- CEC Device List: View connected HDMI CEC devices. Settings > Channels & Inputs > Inputs > CEC device list.
Note: HDMI CEC functionality may have different names across brands (e.g., Anynet, Simplink).
5.2 Home Theatre System - HTS
Connect with HDMI ARC: Use an HDMI cable to connect an HTS, soundbar, or AV receiver to HDMI 1. If sound and video are out of sync, adjust the delay on the HTS.
Connect with HDMI: If no HDMI ARC is available, use an optical audio cable to connect the TV's Audio Out to the HTS's Audio In.
5.3 Video Device
Use a High-speed HDMI cable for best quality. Avoid HDMI cables longer than 5m. Connect HDR-supporting devices to HDMI inputs.
5.4 Audio Device
Digital Audio Out - Optical: Provides high-quality 5.1 audio channels. Use this connection if your HTS lacks HDMI ARC.
5.5 USB Flash Drive
View photos, music, and videos from a USB flash drive. Insert the drive into a USB connection while the TV is on.
To remove USB safely: Press HOME > DASHBOARD > Notifications > select USB flash drive > Eject.
Ultra HD content can be viewed from USB devices.
5.6 Antenna In
Connect a coaxial cable to receive signals from an antenna or cable.
6 Bluetooth®
6.1 What You Need
Connect Bluetooth® speakers or headphones. The TV can only play audio through one speaker at a time. Consider devices with low latency ratings.
6.2 Pairing a Device
Position the wireless speaker within 5 meters of the TV. Ensure Bluetooth® is enabled on the TV. To pair:
- Turn on the Bluetooth® device.
- Go to Settings > Remotes & Accessories > Pair accessory.
- Follow on-screen instructions. The TV will store the connection. You may need to unpair a device if the maximum number of paired devices is reached.
6.3 Select a Device
Go to Settings > Remotes & Accessories. Select the desired wireless device from the list.
6.4 Rename a Device
Go to Settings > Remotes & Accessories. Select the device, choose Rename, enter a new name, and save.
6.5 Remove a Device
Go to Settings > Remotes & Accessories. Select the device, choose Forget, and confirm.
7 Connect your Google TV
7.1 Network and Internet
Home Network: Connect to a high-speed Internet connection wirelessly or via a wired Ethernet cable for full Google TV capabilities.
Wireless Connection: Requires a Wi-Fi router connected to the Internet.
Wired Connection: Requires a network router connected to the Internet via a high-speed connection.
Turn Wi-Fi On or Off: Settings > Network & Internet > Wi-Fi.
Make the Connection: Select your wireless network from the list or add a new network. Follow on-screen instructions.
Problems: Troubleshooting tips for wireless network issues, slow internet, and DHCP settings are provided.
7.2 Google Account
Sign In Google Account: Sign in with your Google Account to access games, personalized recommendations, and apps like YouTube and Google Play. You can sign in during initial setup or later via Settings > Set up Google TV.
Sign in Google account in Basic mode: If not signed in during initial setup, you can sign in anytime to switch to Full Mode.
Google Account Settings: Manage services, content preferences, auto-play trailers, payments, and Google Assistant settings.
8 Apps
8.1 About Apps
Find your favorite apps in the Home menu. Apps offer specific functions for an enriched TV experience. Apps can be installed from the Google Play Store. You need an internet connection and a Google Account to use Google Play apps.
8.2 Google Play
Movies and TV: Rent or buy movies and TV shows. Requires internet connection and Google Account with a credit card.
Music: Play music via YouTube Music. Requires internet connection and Google Account. You can also sign up for Google Play Music subscription.
Games: Play Google Play Games online or offline. Requires internet connection and Google Account. Some games may require a gamepad.
8.3 Start or Stop an App
Start an app from the Home screen by navigating to the app and pressing OK. Alternatively, go to Settings > Apps > See all apps. Press Back or EXIT to stop an app.
8.4 Manage Apps
Optimize performance by clearing app cache or stopping apps that are not in use. Uninstall unused apps.
9 Sources
9.1 Switch to a device
Switch between connected devices, tuners, or USB drives from the Sources list. Press DASHBOARD to open the Input menu, then select the desired source.
One Touch Play: With the TV in standby, press Play on the remote to switch on a connected disc player and start playback immediately. Requires HDMI connection and HDMI CEC enabled on both devices.
10 Settings
10.1 TV options
Access TV settings via the DASHBOARD key. Options include Settings, Clock/Screensaver, Inputs, Picture, and Notifications.
10.2 Picture Settings
Picture Mode: Select preset picture styles like Vivid, Standard, Sport, Movie, User, or Energy saving. Specific Dolby Vision modes are available when a Dolby Vision HDR signal is received.
Brightness, Contrast, Saturation, HUE, Sharpness, Gamma, Color Temperature: Adjust picture quality parameters.
20 Point White Balance Correction: Fine-tune whitepoint balance.
Advanced settings: Includes DNR, Adaptive Luma Control, Local Contrast Control, MPEG NR, DI Film Mode, Color Space, and Color Tuner.
Picture Reset: Resets picture settings to default.
Screen
Adjust picture to fill the screen using Screen Mode options like Auto, Zoom, P2P, 4:3, and 16:9.
10.3 Sound Settings
Sound Mode: Select preset sound styles: Movie, Music, Standard, Sport.
Dolby Atmos: Enable or disable Dolby Atmos notifications.
Dolby Sound Mode: Options include Movie, Music, Standard, Sport.
Balance, Bass, Treble: Adjust audio levels.
DTS Studio Sound: Enhances audio experience with DTS Master Audio.
Auto Volume: Automatically adjusts volume based on the environment.
Speaker: Turn speakers on or off.
Dialogue Enhancer: Improves speech clarity.
Sound Reset: Resets sound settings to default.
10.4 System
Accessibility Settings: Includes Accessibility shortcut, Captions, High contrast text, and Text to speech options for users with disabilities.
11 Video, Photo, & Music
11.1 From a USB Connection
View photos, music, and videos from a connected USB flash drive. Select MEDIA from the Apps list, choose the file type, and follow on-screen instructions.
11.2 Play your Video
Play videos from the MEDIA app. Use navigation keys to select video files. Playback controls include Play/Pause, Playlist, Aspect Ratio, Audio Track, Subtitle, Play Sequence, and Media Information.
11.3 View your Photo
View photos from the MEDIA app. Options include Background Music, Zoom In/Out, Rotate, Play, and Picture settings.
11.4 Play your Music
Play music from the MEDIA app. Use navigation keys to select audio files. Playback controls include Play/Pause, Fast Forward/Backward, Playlist, and Play Sequence.
12 Smartphones and Tablets
12.1 Chromecast built-in
Cast content from Chromecast-enabled mobile apps to your TV. Ensure your mobile device and TV are on the same Wi-Fi network. Look for the Google Cast icon in the app to cast.
Cast From Apps to TV: Open a Cast-enabled app, tap the Cast icon, select your TV, and press play.
13 Netflix
Enjoy Netflix with a membership subscription. Requires an internet connection. Press the NETFLIX button on the remote to open the Netflix App.
14 Amazon Prime Video
Access thousands of movies and TV shows with an Amazon Prime membership. Requires an internet connection. Press the prime video key or app icon to open the Amazon Prime Video app. Visit www.primevideo.com for more information.

Risk of Electric Shock or Fire: Keep the TV away from water, heat sources, and never insert objects into ventilation slots. Ensure proper power cord handling.
Risk of Injury or Damage to the TV: Two people are needed to lift TVs over 25 kg. Use the supplied stand and ensure it is securely attached. Wall mounting requires professional installation. Handle glass parts with care. Ensure the power voltage matches the TV's rating.
Stability Hazards: Prevent tip-overs by ensuring the TV is not overhanging furniture, using recommended cabinets/stands, anchoring furniture, and educating children about climbing dangers.
Risk of Batteries: Do not ingest batteries. Keep new and used batteries away from children. Risk of fire or explosion if batteries are replaced with the incorrect type.
17.2 Screen Care
- Avoid touching, pushing, rubbing, or striking the screen.
- Unplug the TV before cleaning.
- Clean with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid alcohol and chemical cleaners.
- Wipe off water drops quickly to prevent deformation and color fading.
- Minimize stationary images to prevent screen damage. Reduce contrast and brightness if stationary images are necessary.
