Important Safety Instructions
General Safety:

Fuel Safety:

- Add fuel before starting the engine. Never add fuel while the engine is running or hot.
- Mix and store fuel in approved containers outdoors, away from ignition sources.
- Loosen the fuel cap slowly to release pressure.
- Tighten the fuel cap securely after refueling.
- Wipe spilled fuel from the unit and move 30 feet (9 m) away from the refueling site before starting.
- Never attempt to burn off spilled fuel.
- If fuel is spilled, do not start the engine; move the machine away and allow vapors to dissipate before creating ignition sources.
- Replace all fuel tank and container caps securely.
- Empty the fuel tank into an approved container and secure the unit before transporting in a vehicle.
- When draining the fuel tank, use an approved container in a well-ventilated area.

Operation
Fueling and Refueling:
- Use a 50:1 mixture of unleaded gasoline (87 octane, max 10% ethanol) and premium 2-cycle oil.
- Clean the area around the fuel cap before opening.
- Fill the tank to 80% capacity.
- Ensure the fuel cap gasket is clean and the cap is tightened securely.
- Wipe any spilled fuel and move 30 feet (9 m) away from the refueling area before starting.
- Always shut off the engine before fueling. Never refuel a hot engine.
Starting and Stopping:
- Cold Start: Place unit on a flat surface, press primer bulb 7-10 times, set choke to CHOKE, pull starter handle until engine starts, then move choke to RUN by pressing throttle triggers. Allow engine to idle for 30 seconds.
- Warm Start: Ensure choke is in RUN position. Pull starter handle until engine starts.
- To Stop: Depress and hold the stop switch to the STOP position.
To Extend Line: Firmly bump the bump feed on the trimmer head against the ground while the engine is running.
Proper Trimmer Operation:
- Always position the unit on your right side to avoid contact with hot surfaces.
- Maintain a firm grip on both handles.
- Keep the string head below waist level and never more than 15 inches (38.1 cm) above the ground.
- Move the trimmer slowly and cut tall grass from the top down.

- Maintenance Schedule:

Troubleshooting

Warranty Information
Champion Power Equipment (CPE) offers a 2-Year Limited Warranty for mechanical and electrical components for residential use and 90 days for commercial use. This warranty covers defects in material and workmanship. Proof of purchase is required. Contact CPE's Technical Service for troubleshooting and warranty claims. Misuse, neglect, accident, abuse, overloading, unauthorized modifications, or improper installation/connection will void the warranty. Cosmetic defects and wear items are excluded. Implied warranties are limited, and consequential damages are disclaimed.
Emission Control System Warranty
Champion Power Equipment engines comply with U.S. EPA emissions regulations. The Emission Control System is warranted for two years, covering parts like the carburetor, fuel lines, fuel caps, and other associated components, provided there has been no abuse, neglect, or improper maintenance. Owners are responsible for required maintenance as listed in the Owner's Manual. CPE will repair or replace defective emission-related parts at no cost to the owner at an Authorized CPE Service Outlet.
