Vortex ZG55 Smartphone - User Guide
This document provides instructions and specifications for the Vortex ZG55 smartphone.
Getting Started
Follow these steps to set up your Vortex ZG55:
- Insert SIM Card: Open the device and insert your SIM card.
- Insert Micro SD Card: Insert a Micro SD card for additional storage.
- Insert Battery: Ensure the battery is correctly inserted.
- Charge the Device: Connect the Type-C cable to charge the phone.
- Power On and Setup: Press the power button to turn on the device and follow the on-screen instructions for initial setup.
Basic Operations
Making and Answering Calls
- From the Home screen, touch the phone icon.
- Touch to display the dial pad.
- Dial a number and touch to initiate the call.
- To answer a call, drag to the right. To decline a call, drag to the left.
- Volume Control: The volume keys are located on the left side of the phone. Press them to adjust sound volume during a conversation.
Sending a Text Message
- From the Home screen, touch the messaging icon.
- Tap 'Start Chat'.
- In the 'To' field, enter the recipient's number or name.
- Tap the message field to enter your message content.
- Tap 'Send' to send the message.
Adding Email Accounts
- Tap the Gmail icon.
- In the 'Your account' interface, tap 'Add an email address'.
- Enter your email address and password, then follow the setup steps.
Multimedia and Features
Photos
View pictures and videos stored on your phone or SD card. You can also perform basic editing and set images as wallpaper or contact pictures. Share photos via email, messaging, or upload them to online platforms.
Music
When music files are copied to your phone's storage or SD card, the YT Music app will automatically build a catalog of your music.
Main Screen
Customize your main screen with frequently used applications and display information like time and weather (requires third-party applications).
Wi-Fi
To browse the web, ensure Data connection is switched on. If Wi-Fi is available, you can connect to it (a password may be required) for web browsing.
Camera
Capture photos and videos. Your pictures and videos can be stored on the handset or an SD card. You can copy them to a PC.
Notifications
Notification icons in the status bar alert you to new messages and events.

Regulatory Information
Hearing Aid Compatibility (HAC)
This mobile phone is hearing aid-compatible. The device meets government requirements for exposure to radio waves, based on standards developed by independent scientific organizations. The guidelines include a substantial safety margin to ensure the safety of all persons.
ANSI C63.19-2019 HAC RF Categories: The ANSI Standard presents performance requirements for acceptable interoperability of hearing with wireless communications devices.
FCC Hearing Aid Compatibility (HAC) Regulations: The U.S. Federal Communications Commission (FCC) has established requirements for digital wireless mobile devices to be compatible with hearing aids. A rating system helps hearing aid users find compatible mobile devices. Trying out the mobile device with your hearing device is the best way to evaluate it for your personal needs.
The lowest conversational gain is 8.85 dB with a hearing aid and 12.11 dB without a hearing aid. The conversational gain is compliant with the waiver (DA 23-914).
FCC Warning
15.19 Labeling requirements: This device complies with part 15 of the FCC Rules. Operation is subject to the following two conditions: (1) this device may not cause harmful interference, and (2) this device must accept any interference received, including interference that may cause undesired operation.

The SAR limit for the USA (FCC) is 1.6 W/kg averaged over one gram of tissue. This device was tested for typical body-worn operations with the back of the device kept 10mm from the body. To maintain compliance with FCC RF exposure requirements, use accessories that maintain an appropriate separation distance between the user's body and the back of the device. Use only the supplied or an approved antenna.
