Lightspeed Activate Station Mobile Device Pairing Quickstart Guide

This guide provides instructions for pairing your mobile device with the Lightspeed Activate Station to enable remote control functionality and Bluetooth audio playback through the classroom speaker.

Prerequisites

Pairing Steps

  1. Download the 'Lightspeed Activate' mobile app from the App Store or Google Play on your iOS or Android device.

  2. Ensure Bluetooth is enabled on your device and open the Activate App. Follow the on-screen instructions for the two pairing processes.

  3. Press the Bluetooth 1 pairing button on the back of your Activate Station to connect to the Lightspeed system for remote control. Once paired, any registered pods will appear in the mobile app.

  4. To pair to Bluetooth audio, the app will guide you through the process. Navigate to your mobile device's Settings > Bluetooth. Select your Activate Station number (e.g., ACT_XXXX_BT1) from the list of unpaired devices. Press the pair button within the app when prompted. Write your Activate Station number in the space provided above the text 'ACT____BT1'.

  5. Enter the PIN '0000' to complete the pairing process. Your device should now show as connected.

  6. Return to the Activate mobile app. A tutorial will guide you through using the app and its additional functions.

  7. For a second Flexmike for team teaching, repeat the pairing process with a second mobile device. Press the Bluetooth 2 button on the back of the Activate Station.
