Pumpable Liquids
- Processed water
- Well water
- Spring water
- Rainwater
- Pool water (provided additives are correctly dosed)
Product Parts
The main components of the hydrophore pump are:
- Power cord and plug
- Water inlet
- Water outlet
- Mechanical pressure switch
- Pressure gauge
- Cap over refill opening
(Refer to Figure 1 for visual identification of parts).
Operation
Before Use
Check that the mains voltage matches the voltage indicated on the type plate. It is recommended to use a pre-filter and intake system with a suction hose, inlet grille, and non-return valve to prevent slow filling and damage from stones or other solid particles.
Usage Steps
- Remove the product from its packaging and place it on a level, stable surface. Secure with screws (sold separately) if necessary. (See Figure 2).
- Connect the suction hose to the water inlet and the outlet hose to the water outlet. (See Figure 3).
- Open the refill opening cap and fill with water until it overflows. Replace the cap. (Note: Even minor leaks can cause malfunctions. See Figure 4).
- Plug in the power cord and start the pump. (Note: The preset start pressure is 1.5 bar and the preset stop pressure is 3 bar, suitable for most installations. Adjustments should be made by qualified personnel. See Figure 5).
- After use, switch off the product and unplug it. Drain the water from the pump by opening the drain opening. Water in the tank can also be drained as shown in the figure. (See Figure 6).
Maintenance
WARNING! Switch off the product and unplug it before performing maintenance or cleaning.
NOTE: The system is pressurised. After opening the refill or drain cap, and before disconnecting hoses, open the shut-off valve on the outlet side and drain the system using a drain cock (sold separately).
Repairs
Any repairs and replacement of spare parts should be carried out by an authorised service centre. Failure to do so may result in personal injury or material damage. Always switch off the product and unplug it before commencing any work.
Storage
Store the product in a frost-free place.
Troubleshooting
Problem | Cause | Solution |
---|---|---|
Product runs, but delivers no water. | Air in the pump. Air does not exit the outlet side. | See preparation section. Open the tap on the outlet side. |
Product does not work, or suddenly stops. | Power supply interrupted. Overheating protection trips. | Check fuses and connections. Unplug the product, let it cool, clean the intake system, and prevent dry running. |
Motor restarts immediately after stopping. | System pressure drops quickly. Low air pressure in the storage tank. Non-return valve does not close properly. Diaphragm in the pressure tank is damaged. | Check all connections, seals, and water outlet. Even minor leaks affect operation. Adjust storage tank air pressure to 2.0 bar. Check the non-return valve on the suction side. Replace the diaphragm. |
Transported liquid amount is low. | Inlet filter is dirty, or non-return valve does not close properly. Transported amount depends on total lifting height and pipe configuration. Pre-filter is dirty. | Clean the inlet filter or non-return valve. Do not exceed maximum lifting height (see technical data). Use lines with different diameter/length if needed. Remove and clean the pre-filter under running water. |
Vibrating noise when water is drawn. | Diaphragm in the pressure tank vibrates. | Noise can be reduced by lowering the air pressure in the storage tank. |
