Introduction

The machine is intended for dry sanding drywall that has had filler applied, ceilings and walls in indoor and outdoor areas, and for removing coats of paint, adhesive residues and loose plaster.

General Power Tool Safety Warnings

The term "power tool" in the warnings refers to your mains-operated (corded) power tool or battery-operated (cordless) power tool.

1. Work Area Safety

• Keep your work area clean and well lit. Cluttered and dark areas invite accidents.
• Do not operate power tools in explosive atmospheres, such as in the presence of flammable liquids, gases or dust. Power tools create sparks which may ignite the dust or fumes.
• Keep children and bystanders away while operating a power tool. Distractions can cause you to lose control.

2. Electrical Safety

• Power tool plugs must match the outlet. Never modify the plug in any way. Do not use any adapter plugs with earthed (grounded) power tools. Unmodified plugs and matching outlets will reduce risk of electric shock.
• Avoid body contact with earthed or grounded surfaces such as pipes, radiators, ranges and refrigerators. There is an increased risk of electric shock if your body is earthed or grounded.
• Do not expose power tools to rain or wet conditions. Water entering a power tool will increase the risk of electric shock.
• Do not abuse the cord. Never use the cord for carrying, pulling or unplugging the power tool. Keep cord away from heat, oil, sharp edges or moving parts. Damaged or entangled cords increase the risk of electric shock.
• When operating a power tool outdoors, use an extension cord suitable for outdoor use. Use of a cord suitable for outdoor use reduces the risk of electric shock.
• If operating a power tool in a damp location is unavoidable, use a residual current device (RCD) protected supply. Use of an RCD reduces the risk of electric shock.

3. Personal Safety

• Stay alert, watch what you are doing and use common sense when operating a power tool. Do not use a power tool while you are tired or under the influence of drugs, alcohol or medication. A moment of inattention while operating power tools may result in serious personal injury.
• Use personal protective equipment. Always wear eye protection. Protective equipment such as dust mask, non-skid safety shoes, hard hat, or hearing protection used for appropriate conditions will reduce personal injuries.
• Prevent unintentional starting. Ensure the switch is in the off position before connecting to power source and/or battery pack, picking up or carrying the tool. Carrying power tools with your finger on the switch or energising power tools that have the switch on invites accidents.
• Remove any adjusting key or wrench before turning the power tool on. A wrench or a key left attached to a rotating part of the power tool may result in personal injury.
• Do not overreach. Keep proper footing and balance at all times. This enables better control of the power tool in unexpected situations.
• Dress properly. Do not wear loose clothing or jewellery. Keep your hair, clothing and gloves away from moving parts. Loose clothes, jewellery or long hair can be caught in moving parts.
• If devices are provided for the connection of dust extraction and collection facilities, ensure these are connected and properly used. Use of dust collection can reduce dust-related hazards.

4. Power Tool Use and Care

• Do not force the power tool. Use the correct power tool for your application. The correct power tool will do the job better and safer at the rate for which it was designed.
• Do not use the power tool if the switch does not turn it on and off. Any power tool that cannot be controlled with the switch is dangerous and must be repaired.
• Disconnect the plug from the power source and/or the battery pack from the power tool before making any adjustments, changing accessories, or storing power tools. Such preventive safety measures reduce the risk of starting the power tool accidentally.
• Store idle power tools out of the reach of children and do not allow persons unfamiliar with the power tool or these instructions to operate the power tool. Power tools are dangerous in the hands of untrained users.
• Maintain power tools. Check for misalignment or binding of moving parts, breakage of parts and any other condition that may affect the power tool's operation. If damaged, have the power tool repaired before use. Many accidents are caused by poorly maintained power tools.
• Keep cutting tools sharp and clean. Properly maintained cutting tools with sharp cutting edges are less likely to bind and are easier to control.
• Use the power tool, accessories and tool bits etc. in accordance with these instructions, taking into account the working conditions and the work to be performed. Use of the power tool for operations different from those intended could result in a hazardous situation.

5. Service

• Have your power tool serviced by a qualified repair person using only identical replacement parts. This will ensure that the safety of the power tool is maintained.

Sander Safety Warnings

SAFETY WARNINGS COMMON FOR SANDER:

• This power tool is intended to function as a SANDER. Read all safety warnings, instructions, illustrations and specifications provided with this power tool. Failure to follow all instructions listed below may result in electric shock, fire and/or serious injury.
• Operations such as sanding are not recommended to be performed with this power tool. Operations for which the power tool was not designed may create a hazard and cause personal injury.
• Do not use accessories which are not specifically designed and recommended by the tool manufacturer. Just because the accessory can be attached to your power tool, it does not assure safe operation.
• The RATED SPEED of the accessory must be at least equal to the maximum speed marked on the power tool. Accessories running faster than their RATED SPEED can break and fly apart.
• The outside diameter and the thickness of your accessory must be within the capacity rating of your power tool. Incorrectly sized accessories cannot be adequately guarded or controlled.
• Do not use a damaged accessory. Before each use inspect the accessory such tear or excess wear, wire brush for loose or cracked wires. If power tool or accessory is dropped, inspect for damage or install an undamaged accessory. After inspecting and installing an accessory, position yourself and bystanders away from the plane of the rotating accessory and run the power tool at maximum no-load speed for one minute. Damaged accessories will normally break apart during this test time.
• Wear personal protective equipment. Depending on application, use face shield, safety goggles or safety glasses. As appropriate, wear dust mask, hearing protectors, gloves and workshop apron capable of stopping small abrasive or workpiece fragments. The eye protection must be capable of stopping flying debris generated by various operations. The dust mask or respirator must be capable of filtrating particles generated by your operation. Prolonged exposure to high intensity noise may cause hearing loss.
• Keep bystanders a safe distance away from work area. Anyone entering the work area must wear personal protective equipment. Fragments of workpiece or of a broken accessory may fly away and cause injury beyond immediate area of operation.
• Hold the power tool by insulated gripping surfaces only, when performing an operation where the cutting accessory may contact hidden wiring or its own cord. Cutting accessory contacting a live wire may make exposed metal parts of the power tool live and could give the operator an electric shock.
• Position the cord clear of the spinning accessory. If you lose control, the cord may be cut or snagged and your hand or arm may be pulled into the spinning accessory.
• Never lay the power tool down until the accessory has come to a complete stop. The spinning accessory may grab the surface and pull the power tool out of your control.
• Do not run the power tool while carrying it at your side. Accidental contact with the spinning accessory could snag your clothing, pulling the accessory into your body.
• Regularly clean the power tool's air vents. The motor's fan will draw the dust inside the housing and excessive accumulation of powdered metal may cause electrical hazards.
• Do not operate the power tool near flammable materials. Sparks could ignite these materials.
• Do not use accessories that require liquid coolants. Using water or other liquid coolants may result in electrocution or shock.
• Do not use excessively oversized sanding disc paper. Follow manufacturers recommendations, when selecting sanding paper. Larger sanding paper extending beyond the sanding pad presents a laceration hazard and may cause snagging, tearing of the disc or kickback.

Kickback and Related Warnings

• Maintain a firm grip on the power tool and position your body and arm to allow you to resist kickback forces. Always use auxiliary handle, if provided, for maximum control over kickback or torque reaction during start-up. The operator can control torque reactions or kickback forces, if proper precautions are taken.
• Never place your hand near the rotating accessory. Accessory may kickback over your hand.
• Do not position your body in the area where power tool will move if kickback occurs. Kickback will propel the tool in direction opposite to the wheel's movement at the point of snagging.
• Use special care when working corners, sharp edges etc. Avoid bouncing and snagging the accessory. Corners, sharp edges or bouncing have a tendency to snag the rotating accessory and cause loss of control or kickback.
• Do not attach a saw chain woodcarving blade or toothed saw blade. Such blades create frequent kickback and loss of control.

Additional Safety Warning

• Do not use the tool near explosive materials (petrol, dilution).
• Do not work with materials containing asbestos.
• Prior to every use, check the tool and its cable and plug. Have damages only repaired by specialists. Insert the plug into the socket only when the tool switch is off.
• Plug and switch the machine off if it is not under supervision, in case of putting up and stripping down the machine, in case of voltage drop or when fixing or mounting an accessory.
• Switch the machine off if it stops for whatever reason. You avoid that it starts suddenly and not under supervision.
• Before starting your work, check the proper seat of the cutting bit and the individual stars.
• Check the milling head before every use. Do not use damaged or sluggishly running milling stars.
• Make sure that the tool was mounted properly, and let it run idly in a safe position for 30 seconds. Stop the tool immediately if you found considerable vibrations or other defects.
• Don't use the machine if a part of the housing is damaged or in case of damages on the switch, the cable or plug.
• Electrical tools have to be inspected visually by a specialist in regular intervals.
• After interruption of your work, restart the tool only after having made sure that the milling head and the stars are moving freely.
• Do not touch rotating parts.
• Persons under 16 years are not supposed to use the tool.
• Keep the handles dry, clean and free of oil and grease.

CAUTION:

• Attention! The milling head still runs for a little while after the machine was switched off.
• When working with the machine, wear ear protectors ?, dust mask ? and goggles ?️.
• Always hold the machine with both hands.
• Consider the tool's reaction torque.
• Make sure that persons in the work space are not endangered by particles flying around.
• In order to avoid the star holder and the milling stars get damaged, work very carefully on edges, corners or extreme transition.
• Do not work on surfaces with steel reinforcements which lie open.

SAFETY RULES FOR ELECTRIC DRY SANDER:

• USE A RESPIRATOR approved by NIOSH for "Dust and Mist". Ventilate work area and/or use a dust collector. Continued and prolonged exposure to high concentrations of airborne dust may affect the respiratory system function.
• MAINTAIN FIRM FOOTING AND BALANCE. Use appropriate scaffolding. Do not overreach.
• SANDING OF LEAD-BASED PAINT IS NOT RECOMMENDED. Lead-based paint should only be removed by a professional.

Extension Cords

When using an extension cord with your Polisher refer to the following table to determine the required A.W.G. wire size. Before using the Polisher, make sure the power cord and extension cord are in good working condition. Make repairs or replacements before using the Polisher. Only use extension cords that are rated for outdoor use.

Technical Specification

Assembly

⚠️ To reduce the risk of injury, turn the unit off and disconnect it from the power source before installing and removing accessories, before adjusting or making repairs. An accidental start-up can cause injury.

Assembling the Drywall Sander

Take the drywall sander out of the packaging, unfold it and secure with the locking hook. Make sure that the locking hook engages correctly. When the machine needs to be folded, pull up the locking hook to relax pothook, then the pipe can be folded.

Fitting the Telescopic Extension

Insert the telescopic extension into the lock for the telescopic extension and lock it by twisting. According to the needs of different grinding positions, the length of the machine can be adjusted between 1200-1800mm.

Insert the dust hose connector into the opening of the telescopic extension.

To Seal the Dust Collection Bag

To seal the dust collection bag so that it is dust-tight, proceed as follows:

• Close the dust collection bag and align the sides.
• Use the sliding clip to close the sides of the pocket.
• To open the dust collection bag, slide away the clip.

Fastening the Grinding/Sanding Paper

CAUTION! For health safety reasons it is imperative that you use a dust extractor.

The hook-and-loop fastener enables easy changing of the abrasive paper. Make sure that the vacuum extraction holes on the abrasive paper and the sanding head are aligned.

Operation

On/Off Switch

Switching on: press the On/Off switch. Switching off: release the On/Off switch.

Operating for a Long Time

Lock-on: press the switch lock button when the On/Off switch is fully depressed. Release lock: completely squeeze and release the On/Off switch.

Sanding Wheel Speed Regulation

The speed is adjusted by turning the control knob. The control knob is numbered "MIN" through "MAX" with "MIN" being the slowest speed (approximately 1100 RPM) and "MAX" being the fastest speed (approximately 1850 RPM).

• Use the higher speed settings for fast stock removal.
• Use the lower speed to reduce removal rate for more precise control.

Press the LED light On/off switch to turn on/off the LED light ring against the dark environment.

Detachable Plastic Guard for Edge of Wall Sanding

To take off the side guard, first push the lock button (each side) then take it down.

Remove the Sticky Disk

Insert a hexagon wrench into the inner hexagon hole of the output shaft in the center of the sticky disc and turn it counterclockwise. At the same time, press the grinding stick plate by hand to remove the grinding sticky plate.

Maintenance

⚠️ To reduce the risk of injury, turn the unit off and disconnect it from the power source before installing and removing accessories, before adjusting or making repairs. An accidental start-up can cause injury.

• Keep the ventilating holes clean to guarantee the cooling of the machine.
• Pull out the power plug of the power socket before maintenance and repair the device.
• If the power cord of the device is damaged, it has to be replaced by the manufacturer or his customer service or similar qualified persons, to avoid dangers.
• The device is equipped with carbon brushes. The device turns off when abrasion of the carbon brushes reaches a certain limit. Let the carbon brushes change only by qualified customer service.

Cleaning

• Keep all safety devices, air vents and the motor housing free of dirt and dust as far as possible. Wipe the equipment with a clean cloth or blow it with compressed air at low pressure.
• We recommend that you clean the device immediately each time you have finished using it.
• Clean the equipment regularly with a moist cloth and some soft soap. Do not use cleaning agents or solvents; these could attack the plastic parts of the equipment. Ensure that no water can seep into the device. The ingress of water into an electric tool increases the risk of an electric shock.

Trouble Shooting

⚠️ Follow all safety precautions whenever diagnosing or servicing the tool. Disconnect power supply before service.

Disposal and Recycling

Disposal of the appliance

A crossed-out wheelie bin icon ??️ means: Batteries and rechargeable batteries, electrical or electronic devices must not be disposed of with household waste. They may contain substances that are harmful to the environment and human health.

Consumers must dispose of waste electrical devices, spent portable batteries and rechargeable batteries separately from household waste at an official collection point to ensure that these items are processed correctly. Information on returning these items is available from the seller. Sellers are required to accept these items free of charge. Batteries and rechargeable batteries, which are not permanently installed in waste electrical devices, must be removed prior to disposal and must be disposed of separately. Batteries must always be protected against short circuits by covering the poles with adhesive tape.
