Program Details
How will I be billed? | The additional charge for participating in The Green Power Program will appear as a line item on your regular monthly NIPSCO billing statement. |

How will my bill be calculated? | The additional charge for Green Power Program will be calculated by taking (the percentage you selected at enrollment) x (your monthly kilowatt-hour usage) x (the Green Power premium). This additional charge will be added to your regular NIPSCO rates and charges and applicable taxes will apply. |
How much will my total electricity service cost, including utility charges? |
Based on a monthly usage of 1000 kWh, the following example provides you an estimate of your monthly green program cost using the rate in Rider 686 if you participate in the Green Power Program from NIPSCO. Your actual bill will vary based on your use of electricity and selected participation percentage in the Green Power Program. Monthly Electricity Usage = 1,000 kWh (Example, usage will vary) |
Will my rates change over time? | The premium for the Green Power Program will adjust twice per year through a filing with the IURC and will be based on NIPSCO cost to purchase renewable energy plus reasonable marketing/administrative costs. You will be notified of the change in premium via a message on the bill statement the month it becomes effective. If you opt to end participation during the month the premium becomes effective, you will incur no Green Power Program charge for the month. |
What sources will be used in my certified product? | A Product Content Label is attached and/or can be found at NIPSCO.com. |
How do I terminate this agreement? | You can end your participation in the Green Power Program at any time by contacting NIPSCO Customer Service at 1-800-464-7726. Your termination will be effective immediately. |
