The Green Power Program (Rider 686) matches the percentage of your electricity usage selected at enrollment. The Green Power Rider will be made up of the following renewable resources averaged annually.

1. These figures reflect the renewable energy credits power source of generation that we have contracted to provide. Actual figures may vary according to resource availability. We will annually report to you by August 1st, the actual resource mix of the electricity renewable energy credits you purchased during the preceding year.
2. New Renewables come from generation facilities that first began commercial operation within the past 15 years or less.
NIPSCO electric customers may designate 25, 50 or 100 percent of your monthly electric usage to be attributable to power generated by renewable energy sources. Commercial and industrial customers have the added flexibility to designate five or ten percent of their monthly usage. You may change your participation level or cancel at any time at no added cost.
For comparison, the current average mix of resources supplying NIPSCO includes Coal (33.0%), Natural Gas (20.0%), Wind, Solar plus Storage and Hydroelectric Generation Units (47.0%).
