Instructions for Use

The Sinji Infrared thermometer allows for contactless measurement of body temperature in adults and children. Aim the thermometer at the forehead, and within a second, the accurate measurement will be displayed on the LCD screen. Color indication (green, orange, and red for fever) provides an at-a-glance understanding of fever status. Consult a doctor for diagnosis if you have a fever.

  1. Non-contact and high-precision body thermometer.
  2. Temperature can be displayed in °C or °F.
  3. When measuring temperatures above the alert value, the thermometer will emit a "buzzer" sound.
  4. The LCD display is backlit for measurements in the dark.
  5. Up to 32 measurements can be stored in the memory log. Use the up and down buttons to view stored measurements.
  6. The thermometer automatically saves measurements.

Notes Before Use

Perform a test measurement before measuring your temperature or another person's. Aim the thermometer at the forehead area and press the "measure" button. A confirmation sound will indicate the test is complete. The measured temperature will be displayed on the LCD screen.

Measuring Body Temperature

  1. Aim the thermometer at the forehead area above the eyebrows. Hold the thermometer at a distance of 5-10 cm and press the "measure" button to measure body temperature.
  2. The measured temperature is shown on the LCD display and automatically stored in the memory log. Measurements can be saved up to 32 times.

Battery Instructions

The battery cover is indicated by an arrow at the bottom of the handle. Push the cover lightly in the direction of the arrow to open it and insert batteries.

Notes on Battery Installation and Replacement

Changing Temperature Unit (Celsius and Fahrenheit)

Press and hold the Sound button (6) for eight seconds until the symbol on the LCD screen changes from °C to °F, or from °F to °C.

Switching Between Body Measurement and Object Measurement

Press and hold the backlight button (3) for eight seconds until "body temperature" is displayed for body temperature measurement, or until it disappears for object temperature measurement.

Switching Backlight On and Off

Briefly press the backlight button (3) once to switch the backlight on and off.

Switching Notification Tone On and Off

Briefly press the Sound button (6) once to switch the notification tone on and off.

Resetting the Thermometer

To reset the thermometer's memory, follow these steps:

  1. Open the battery compartment and insert batteries. Do not close the compartment yet.
  2. With one hand, press and hold the left and right buttons simultaneously. Close the battery compartment with the other hand.
  3. Wait a few seconds for a beep. The screen will jump (without backlight). The memory is now reset. Use the trigger to start new measurements.

The Display Does Not Indicate Temperature, but HI or LO

If the measured temperature is lower than 32°C or higher than 42.9°C, the LCD will display "LO" or "HI".

The Thermometer Does Not Turn On

Reasons for 'LO' or 'HI' Notification and Solutions

Reason for 'LO' or 'HI' Notification Solution
The temperature value is affected by hair and sweat. Make sure there are no obstacles when measuring the temperature.
The temperature is affected by airflow change. Ensure stable air during temperature measurement.
The measuring distance is too far. Make sure that the measuring distance is in the 5-10 cm range.
