Understanding the Equipment

Basic Operation
- Selecting the Main Frequency Band: Press the "A/B" button to select the main frequency band. The larger display indicates the active band.
- PTT Function: Press the PTT button to transmit on the selected band's frequency.
- Switching Channel and Frequency Mode: Press the "VFO/MR" button to switch between channel and frequency modes.
- AM Airband Mode: Press "VFO/MR" to enter frequency mode. Enter frequencies between 108 MHz and 136 MHz. The radio enters AM receive mode.
- Scan Mode: Assign PF2/PF3 keys to scan function or long press '1' to start frequency or channel scanning. Options include Time (TO), Carrier (CO), and Search (SE) modes.
- Sweep Function/Copy Frequency: Find frequencies and sub-tones of nearby radios for instant communication.
- NOAA Weather Forecast Function: Press the assigned side key to activate. The radio has 10 built-in frequencies.
- DTMF Coded Transmission: Press and hold PTT while entering numeric keys to transmit DTMF codes.
- DTMF Code Editing: Short press '#' in standby mode to enter DTMF code editing interface.
Menu Functions
Navigate the menu by pressing "OK/menu", then use Up/Down keys or the channel knob to select options. Press "OK/menu" to confirm and "EXIT" to return to normal operation.
