Important Safety Instructions
Read and save these instructions. Follow all warnings and instructions.
- WARNING: Strangulation Hazard. Cords may become a strangulation hazard. Keep this cord more than 3 feet (0.9 m) away from the crib and bassinet.
- This product is not a substitute for adult supervision.
- Do not use the product if any part is damaged or defective.
- Ensure the baby unit and AC adapter are placed on a flat, stable surface or mounted securely.
- Do not place the baby unit or cords in or near the crib or bassinet.
- Keep the baby unit and AC adapter away from water and heat sources.
- Use only the AC adapters supplied with the product.
- Do not overload wall outlets.
- Ensure the AC adapter is inserted correctly into the wall outlet.
- Do not touch the pins of the AC adapter.
- This product is intended for indoor use only.
- The baby unit should be placed at least 3 feet (0.9 m) away from the baby.
- Do not expose the product to extreme temperatures or humidity.
- Do not disassemble the product.
Getting Started
This section guides you through the initial setup of your VTech Pan & Tilt Video Monitor.
Components:
- Baby Unit (Camera)
- Parent Unit (Monitor)
- AC Adapter for Baby Unit
- AC Adapter for Parent Unit
- Rechargeable Battery for Parent Unit
Connecting the Baby Unit:
1. Connect the AC adapter to the Baby Unit. [?]

Connecting the Camera and Charging the Parent Unit
This section details the initial connection and charging process.
Connecting the Baby Unit (Camera):
1. Locate the power port on the back of the Baby Unit.
2. Connect the small end of the supplied AC adapter to the power port.
3. Plug the AC adapter into a standard wall outlet.

Charging the Parent Unit:
1. Locate the power port on the bottom of the Parent Unit.
2. Connect the small end of the supplied AC adapter to the power port.
3. Plug the AC adapter into a standard wall outlet.
4. The Parent Unit will begin charging. The battery icon on the screen will indicate charging status. It is recommended to fully charge the Parent Unit before first use.

Connecting to a Wi-Fi Network and Security
To enable remote viewing and advanced features, connect your monitor to your home Wi-Fi network.
1. Ensure your Parent Unit is powered on and charged.
2. Navigate to the settings menu on the Parent Unit.
3. Select 'Wi-Fi Setup' or a similar option.
4. Choose your home Wi-Fi network from the list and enter your Wi-Fi password.
5. The monitor will attempt to connect. A confirmation message will appear upon successful connection. [?]

Security: For enhanced security, use a strong password for your Wi-Fi network. The monitor supports WPA2 encryption.
Limited Warranty
VTech Telecommunications Ltd. warrants this product against defects in material and workmanship under normal use and service from the date of original purchase. This warranty is valid for one year from the date of purchase. VTech will, at its option, repair or replace the defective product free of charge. This warranty does not cover damage caused by misuse, accident, shipping, or any other cause not arising out of a defect in material and workmanship. Proof of purchase is required for warranty service. To obtain warranty service, please contact VTech Customer Support.
Download the VTech Smart Home App
Enhance your monitoring experience by downloading the VTech Smart Home App on your smartphone or tablet.
The app allows you to view your baby unit remotely, receive alerts, and access additional features.
To download the app:
- Search for "VTech Smart Home" in the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.
- Alternatively, scan the QR codes provided (if available) to go directly to the app store. [?]
- Follow the on-screen instructions to install and set up the app.
- Pair the app with your video monitor by following the in-app instructions.

Auto Software and Firmware Updates
Your VTech monitor can automatically update its software and firmware to ensure you have the latest features and security enhancements.
Enabling Updates:
1. Go to Settings on your Parent Unit.
2. Select 'Software Update' or 'Firmware Update'.
3. Choose 'Automatic Updates' and enable the feature. [⚙️]

Note: Ensure your monitor is connected to your Wi-Fi network for automatic updates to function.
Set Up the Video Monitor
Proper placement of the Baby Unit is crucial for optimal performance.
- Place the Baby Unit on a flat surface such as a shelf or table.
- Alternatively, use the included mounting kit to attach the Baby Unit to a wall.
- Ensure the Baby Unit is positioned so that it has a clear view of the baby.
- The recommended distance between the Baby Unit and the baby is at least 3 feet (0.9 meters) to prevent accidental strangulation from cords.
- Adjust the camera angle to get the best view.

Using the Video Monitor
Your VTech Pan & Tilt Video Monitor is designed for easy operation.
Parent Unit Controls:
- Screen: Displays video feed from the Baby Unit.

Mounting the Camera
For optimal viewing angles, you may choose to mount the Baby Unit.
Wall Mounting:
- Use the provided mounting bracket and screws.
- Position the bracket on the wall at the desired height and mark the screw holes.
- Drill holes and insert wall anchors if necessary.
- Secure the mounting bracket to the wall.
- Attach the Baby Unit to the bracket.
- Feed the power cord safely along the wall and secure it using the provided cord clips. Ensure the cord is out of reach of the baby.

Parent Unit Overview

Baby Unit Overview
The Baby Unit is the camera and microphone component placed in the baby's room.
- Camera Lens: Captures video of the baby.

- Speaker: Outputs audio from the Parent Unit during two-way talk.

Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues, try the following solutions:
