This document provides essential instructions for operating the TRIMUI SMART PRO handheld game console. It covers device setup, game management, system features, and troubleshooting.
Key Features and Operations
The TRIMUI SMART PRO features a user-friendly interface for managing games and system settings. Key operations include:
- Game Catalog Management: Switch between game views (flow/grid), search for games, and customize game catalog visibility.
- Adding Games: Learn how to add new games and their corresponding thumbnails by configuring the
config.json
file and refreshing the ROMs. - Netplay: Connect with other players via LAN or Hotspot for multiplayer gaming, ensuring all players have the same game ROMs and are on the same network.
- UI Navigation: Navigate through game lists, apps, and settings using the D-pad and L/R buttons. The MENU key accesses context-specific options.
System Functions
- SD Card Setup: Format the SD card to FAT32 and copy the base package from the official site. Game files and thumbnails should be placed according to the
config.json
structure. - Firmware Updates: Update the device firmware by placing the firmware file (
trimui_tg5040.awing
) on the SD card root and following the specific button combination during startup. - Function Key (Fn DIP): Access custom system options like ambient light control and volume adjustments via the Function Key, requiring firmware version 1.0.3 or later.
- Charging: Use a 5V-2A or lower power adapter for charging via the DC port. Avoid fast-charging adapters. The LED indicator shows charging status.
- Hotkeys: Utilize hotkeys for quick access to brightness (START + L/R), volume (SELECT + L/R), and view switching (START).
- Language and Data Transfer: Switch the user interface language in the System settings. For USB data transfer, enable "USB Card Reader Mode" in Applications.
- Date & Time: Automatic synchronization occurs when the device is connected to Wi-Fi.
- Favorites: Add or remove games from your favorites list via the game's menu options.
Device Ports
- Host Port: For connecting external devices like USB flash drives or controllers. This port does not support charging.
- DC Port: The USB Type-C port for charging the device.
