Formovie X5 Projector / Firestick Pairing Guide
Quickly and easily set up your Formovie X5 to automatically pair to your Firestick and control the Firestick using the X5 remote.

Step 1: Connect Power
Plug the larger end of the USB power-cord into the USB port on the rear of the X5 projector.

Step 2: Connect Firestick
Plug the HDMI connector of the Firestick into the HDMI 2 port on the rear of the X5 projector.

Step 3: Power On Projector
Plug the projector into an outlet and turn it on using the X5 remote. Allow it to boot up.
Note: If this is your first time powering on the projector, you may need to go through initial setup steps.

Step 4: Access Settings
Hit the [Home button] (icon of a house) on the X5 remote. Then, hit the [Settings icon] (top right button) on the X5 remote.

Step 5: Navigate to System
Scroll to "System" (represented by a hexagon icon) and select it.

Step 6: Select Device Linkage
From the System menu, select "Device Linkage".

Step 7: Enable Auto-start
Switch the "Auto-start when it's power on" option to active. This will turn the projector on automatically when power is connected.

Step 8: Select HDMI2 Input
Select HDMI2 as the input source.

Step 9: Return to Settings Menu
Hit the [Back button] on the X5 remote to return to the main settings menu.

Step 10: Access Common Settings
Scroll up to "Common" (indicated by a star logo) and select it.

Step 11: Select Input
From the "Common" menu, select "Input".

Step 12: Select Firestick TV
Select "Firestick TV" from the input options.

Step 13: Set Up Firestick
Follow the on-screen steps to set up your Firestick. When prompted for the TV brand, select "Xiaomi" (Formovie's parent company).

Step 14: Access Fire TV Menu
Press the [Menu button] on your X5 remote.

Step 15: Configure Play Settings
Select "Play Settings" and then choose "HDMI 2.1".

Step 16: Access Fire TV Settings
From the Fire TV home menu, select the [Settings icon] (gear icon).

Step 17: Select Display & Sounds
In the Fire TV settings menu, select "Display & Sounds".

Step 18: Select Display
Scroll down within the "Display & Sounds" menu to "Display" and select it.

Step 19: Select Video Resolution
In the "Display" menu, select "Video Resolution".

Step 20: Set Resolution to 2160p 60Hz
Select "2160p 60Hz" and confirm the resolution change.

Helpful Tip: If the projector enters sleep mode while you are completing these steps, just hit the back button to wake it up.
