5.2 Setup Menu
- Mode Setting: Photo, Video, Photo+Video. Select whether photos or videos should be taken when motion is detected. In "Photo+Video" mode, the camera first takes a set number of photos prior to recording a video.
- Photo pixel: Select the desired resolution for photos. A higher resolution produces better photo quality but results in larger files requiring more space on the memory card. (Recommendation: 8M).
- Sequence: Select the number of photos to be taken in succession when the camera is triggered in Photo mode. Observe the parameter interval.
- Video Resolution: Select the required video resolution. Higher resolution produces higher quality videos but results in larger files. Videos are recorded in AVI format.
- Recording length: Default 10 seconds [optional 5S - 3 minutes]. Specify the duration of a video recording when the camera is triggered automatically. The recording period for videos is not limited in the SETUP mode.
- Record Audio: Turn on/off audio recording.
- Operate Interval: Defaulted 30 Seconds, optional from 5 seconds - 30 minutes. Select the shortest period for the camera to wait before it reacts to successive triggering of the main sensor after an animal has first been detected. The camera does not record any photos or videos during the selected interval to prevent the memory card from being filled with unnecessary shots.
- A short shot lag results in high shooting frequency and high power consumption, affecting battery life.
- A long shot lag results in lower power consumption for longer usage.
- PIR sensitivity:
- Select "High" for interior areas with little interference.
- Select "Medium" for exterior areas with normal interference.
- Select "Low" for environments with high interference.
- Timer: Press "OK", then select "ON" to set the starting and ending working times. The camera will only work during the set time every day. If the start time is 18:35 and the end time is 8:25, the camera will be operational from 6:35 PM of the current day until 8:25 AM of the following day. The camera will not be triggered outside this period.
- Language: Select the desired menu language. Available languages include: English, German, French, Spanish, Chinese, etc.
- Time Lapse: Press "MENU" to find "Time lapse". Press "OK", then select "ON" to set the time interval (Hr, Min, Sec). This feature can record processes like flower blooming by taking pictures at set intervals, which are automatically processed into video.
- Date/Time: Press"MENU" to find "Time & Date". Press"OK", then select "ON" to set the time and date. Use Up/Down keys to choose numbers and Left/Right keys to change values. Time formats: 12/24hr. Date formats: dd/mm/yyyy, yyyy/mm/dd, mm/dd/yyyy.
- Time Stamp: Turn on/off display of watermark on photos.
- Password Set: Select "Password protection". Press "OK", then select "ON" to set a 4-digit password (0-9). If the password is lost, press MENU and REPLAY simultaneously and slide the mode selector from OFF to SETUP to unlock the camera.
- Beep sound: Turn on/off beep sound.
- Format: Select to format the memory card. It is suggested to format the memory card on a computer first, then format it again on the camera for first use.
- Serial ID Set: Press "OK", then select "ON" to set the serial number for the camera. A 4-digit combination can document the location on photos, aiding identification when using multiple cameras.
- Default Setting: Reset the camera to default settings. Remember to set the date and time again.
- Economy Mode:
- Select "OFF": The camera works normally day and night until the battery is drained.
- Select "On": The camera works only during the day and is not triggered at night.
- Audio Volume: Select "Low", "Medium", or "High" for the audio volume when watching captured videos.
- Auto power off: Select "3 minutes", "5 minutes", or "10 minutes" for automatic shutdown in "setup" mode if there is no operation. Select "Off" to disable automatic shutdown.
- Technical Support: For any problems, contact technical support via "TC@yooomail.com".
- Version: Check the camera's current firmware version number.

6. Entering Live Mode
6.1 Adjusting And Installing The Camera
The SETUP mode is advantageous for determining the best possible detection angle and range of the movement sensor. Attach the camera at approximately 1-2m height to a tree and align it with a desired direction.
- For 1 meter height: Place the camera parallel to the ground.
- For 2 meters height: Tilt the camera down five degrees to the ground.
Move slowly from one side of the observed area to the other, moving parallel to the camera. Try out different angles and distances. The Blue LED flashing indicates detection by the main PIR sensor. The blue LED also flashes indicating detection by the side PIR sensor.
NOTE: The blue LED only lights up when "Side motion sensor" is ON. This helps determine the best position for aligning the camera. The blue LED flashes in SETUP mode as soon as the PIR sensor has detected movement.
The blue LED will flash and count down for 5 seconds when you switch to Live Mode (ON). The camera then works automatically and enters Standby Mode.
Ensure the camera is set to the correct height in line with the point to be observed. Where necessary, point the camera down for optimum alignment.
Diagram illustrating camera placement at 1m (parallel to ground) and 2m (tilted down 5 degrees) height, showing detection angles and distances. Note: Please do the horizontal movement before the PIR. Vertical movement could not detect correctly. Please quicken your steps when you do the test in a long distance before PIR detection area.
The PIR detection distance would be shorter if the environment temperature reaches or above 30°C.
The screen would automatically turn off without any operation within 3 minutes in SETUP mode. Pressing any button will turn it on again.
6.2 Setting Up The Live Mode
The standard application of the Wildlife Camera is the Live mode. In this mode, photos are triggered by movement sensors or at intervals according to the respective setting.
To set up the Live mode, switch the mode switch to ON position. The red LED will flash and count down for 5 seconds when you switch to Live Mode (ON), and then the camera works automatically and enters the Standby Mode.
As soon as wild animals or other objects directly enter the detection area of the sensor zone, the camera starts to record photos and videos.
Note:
- In the daytime, IR LEDs will not light up. Photos and videos are in color.
- At night, IR LEDs give light, and photos and videos are in black and white.
- The Shot lag is 1 minute by default. Optional is 5s-60 min.
Please set up recording mode and related parameters before entering Live mode.
7. Connection To Computer
Please shift Mode to "SETUP", and connect the camera to the computer with a USB cable. The camera LCD will show "MSDC prompt". This indicates successful connection. Then read or copy the data in the SD card to the computer.
- Connect the camera to your computer using the USB cable.
- The camera switches on automatically in the USB mode, irrespective of the selection on the mode switch.
- The camera installs itself on the computer as an additional drive under the name "Removable storage device".
- Double click on the device to access the folder "DCIM".
- Photos and videos are in the subfolders of the "DCIM" folder.
- You can copy or move photos and video files on the computer. Alternatively, you can insert the memory card in a card reader on the computer.
