Cruise Control
Using Cruise Control
The cruise control system allows you to maintain a set speed without continuously using the accelerator pedal.
Activating Cruise Control:
- To set or increase speed, press the button labeled '+' (1).
- To restore a previously set speed, press the button labeled '2'.
- To decrease the set speed, press and hold the button labeled '-' (3).
- To cancel cruise control while retaining the set speed in memory, press the button labeled '4'.
Important Notes for Activation:
- When setting a speed limit, be aware that the vehicle's speed may increase on descents. The vehicle's speed could exceed the set limit.
- Cruise control can only be activated at speeds above 30 km/h (18 mph).
- To engage cruise control, reach your desired speed and press the '+' button (1). This action stores the speed in the system's memory. The cruise control will then maintain this set speed.
- An indicator light confirms that cruise control is active. You can increase your speed using the accelerator pedal. Releasing the accelerator pedal will immediately return the vehicle to the set cruise control speed.
- Note: Pressing the accelerator pedal for more than 5 minutes will cancel the cruise control function.
Important Usage Restrictions:
- Cruise control is not available when using the downhill speed regulation system or when the Terrain Response special program is selected.
- Do not use cruise control when driving off-road.
- Do not use cruise control in SPORT mode.
Adjusting Set Speed
Increasing Set Speed:
- To increase speed, use the accelerator pedal or press and hold the '+' button (1).
- Once the desired speed is reached, release the button. The new speed will be set and maintained.
- Speed can be increased in increments of 2 km/h (1 mph) by briefly pressing and releasing the '+' button (1).
Decreasing Set Speed:
- To decrease the set speed, press and hold the '-' button (3).
- Once the desired speed is reached, release the button. The new speed will be set and maintained.
- Set speed can be decreased in increments of 2 km/h (1 mph) by briefly pressing and releasing the '-' button (3).
Pausing and Resuming Cruise Control
The cruise control system can be paused by pressing the cancel button (4) once.
Cruise control will also be cancelled if the brake pedal is pressed, the selector is moved to 'N' (Neutral), or the HDC or DSC systems are activated.
To resume cruise control at the previously set speed, press the resume button (2).
Note: When the cancel button is pressed, the set speed remains in memory. The set speed can only be cleared from memory by turning off the ignition.
