Sharp Launches Two Plasmacluster Cyclone Vacuum Cleaner Models
SHARP Corporation has announced the launch of two new Plasmacluster Cyclone Vacuum Cleaner models, the EC-VX600 and EC-LX600. These models feature an industry-first washable power head (suction port with integrated motor), enabling a cleaner and more hygienic cleaning experience.
Revolutionary Washable Power Head
Traditional vacuum cleaner heads often accumulate dust, food debris, and skin oils on their undersides and internal components. Because the power head contains a motor, it could not be washed. SHARP's new models feature a groundbreaking design where the motor unit can be detached from the power head's suction port. This allows the main suction port component to be completely washed, effectively removing accumulated house dust and fine debris. This ensures the part that contacts the floor remains clean at all times. The rotating brush is also designed for easy removal, simplifying cleaning and washing.

Futon Power Head for Deep Cleaning
By attaching the included Futon Power Head (included with EC-VX600, optional for EC-LX600) to the motor unit, users can leverage the motor's power for strong vibrations. This allows the Futon Power Head to effectively beat and suck up dust and mite allergens from futons. The Futon Power Head itself is also washable.

The EC-VX600 model is equipped with a fluorine-coated ULPA clean filter, which boasts approximately 10 times higher dust capture performance than previous models. This filter captures 99.999% of fine dust particles (0.3µm to 10µm), effectively trapping mite allergens, such as dead mites and their feces.

Simplified Maintenance with 2-Stage Cyclone Separation (EC-LX600)
The EC-LX600 features a "2-Stage Cyclone Separation" system. This system enhances separation performance by incorporating eight smaller cyclones in addition to the standard cyclone mechanism. This advanced separation eliminates the need for a pleated filter at the top of the dust cup, significantly reducing the effort required for maintenance.

Plasmacluster 7000 for Reduced Dust Adhesion
Both models incorporate SHARP's "High-Concentration Plasmacluster 7000" technology. This system releases Plasmacluster ions into the dust cup to suppress static electricity. By reducing static charge, it minimizes the adhesion of dust and debris, which can also contribute to mold growth, helping to keep the inside of the dust cup cleaner.
Quiet Operation (EC-VX600)
The EC-VX600 operates at a quiet 54dB, making it suitable for nighttime cleaning. This is achieved through SHARP's unique "Hybrid Silencer System," which incorporates sound insulation, sound absorption, and vibration damping technologies in the motor and exhaust pathways.
