EZ-PATH Installation Guide
New certified installation methods
The EZ-Path® system offers a fire-rated pathway solution that can be installed at the early stages of a project, even before other firestop solutions are in place. It provides flexibility, allowing the quantity of EZ-Path units to correspond with the initial cabling requirements, with additional units installable later to accommodate extra cables. The system also supports multi-services openings, where other services can be installed in the same opening and firestopped using traditional methods.
EZ-Path® can now be installed directly onto cable tray or steel wire cable tray in conjunction with a fire-rated mineral wool coated batt.

Installation Instructions
- Attach EZ-Path devices together using the male and female brackets on each side.
- Cut TWrap (CM935953) to the required length, ensuring it overlaps the devices on either side of the wall. Split the TWrap lengthwise and remove the backing paper to expose the adhesive.
- Apply the TWrap across the entire width of the devices, positioning the seam on the underside of the devices.
- Ensure the surface of the cable tray is clean, free from particles, dust, or grease.
- Up to 5 EZ-Path devices can be installed onto the cable tray and centered within the wall. EZ-Path devices can be secured to the cable tray using ancillary items like metal strapping.
- For information on installing fire-rated mineral wool coated batts with the corresponding sealant, refer to the manufacturer's installation instructions.
- Apply intumescent coating to the surface of the cable tray, extending 200mm from both sides of the wall.
