Construction (Aufbau)

A detailed cross-section of the ventilation unit. It shows the outer casing, a split ceramic enthalpy heat exchanger (regenerator) with a hexagonal cell structure for high efficiency, a G3 filter, two fans equipped with reversible EC motors, an airflow separation component, the ventilation duct, and an external vent cowl.

The unit features control buttons for:

The diagram illustrates the two-phase operation cycle (70 seconds per phase) of the ventilation system for heat and humidity recovery. Phase 1 (70 seconds): Cold outdoor air (Zuluft) enters the unit from outside. Warm, stale indoor air (Abluft) exits the unit into the room. The cold supply air passes through one part of the heat exchanger, absorbing heat and moisture. Simultaneously, the warm exhaust air passes through the other part of the heat exchanger, releasing its heat and moisture to the exchanger. Phase 2 (70 seconds): The fans reverse direction. Cold outdoor air (Zuluft) enters the unit. Warm, stale indoor air (Abluft) exits. The cold supply air now passes through the previously warmed heat exchanger, picking up stored heat and moisture. The warm exhaust air passes through the previously cooled heat exchanger, releasing its heat and moisture.

To enhance the efficiency of the VENTO Expert DUO, the heat exchanger is divided into two isolated sections, preventing heat and moisture transfer between the air streams.

One fan operates in supply mode: fresh, cold outdoor air flows through one heat exchanger, absorbing the stored heat and moisture.

Concurrently, the other fan operates in exhaust mode: warm exhaust air flows through the other heat exchanger from the room, releasing its stored heat and moisture to the heat exchanger.

After 70 seconds, the fans reverse their direction, and the cycle restarts.

Control (Steuerung)

Operation is managed via a smartphone, the integrated touch-sensitive control panel, or a remote control.

Wi-Fi Connectivity: The ventilation units can be interconnected via Wi-Fi. The Blauberg Vento application for Android or iOS devices is available for download on Google Play and the App Store.

Unit Connectivity and Features:

  • The VENTO Expert DUO A30-1 W can operate as a standalone unit or be connected to other ventilation units within the building and synchronized via a master unit. In such configurations, the remote control signal is received only by the master unit.
  • The VENTO Expert DUO A30-1 W is equipped with a humidity sensor to monitor indoor air humidity levels. If the humidity exceeds the setpoint, the ventilation unit automatically switches to a higher fan speed, irrespective of the settings of other units in the system.
  • Connecting the VENTO Expert DUO A30-1 W to a laptop enables advanced configurations, including: Master or Slave mode, supply or exhaust air mode during ventilation operation, and connections via a Wi-Fi router or directly to a smartphone.

VENTO Expert A50-1 W units are recommended for living rooms and bedrooms. VENTO Expert DUO A30-1 W units are designed for ventilating kitchens, bathrooms, and utility rooms. The ventilation units are engineered for installation into external building walls through pre-prepared openings.
