Operation
Applications
This product is designed for the following purpose:
- Charging Hoover ONEPWR™ Lithium Ion Batteries.
Charging
- Charge the battery fully before first use. This typically takes up to 3 hours per battery. The battery does not come fully charged from the factory.
- Ensure the power supply is normal household voltage, 220-240 volts, AC only, 50 Hz.
- Note: Remove the battery from the charger when charging is complete. Avoid storing the battery on the charger.
- Do not place the charger in an area of extreme heat or cold. It will operate best at normal room temperature.
- Plug the charger into a power outlet.
- Attach the battery pack to the charger by aligning the ribs on the battery pack with the grooves in the charger. Slide the battery pack into the charger until it clicks securely. (Refer to Figure 1 for visual guidance).
- The battery pack may become slightly warm to the touch while charging. This is normal and does not indicate a problem.
- When charging, the lights on the battery will illuminate to show the state of charge. The light on the charger will also flash. (Refer to Figure 2 for visual guidance).
- If the light on the charger flashes red, this indicates an error with the battery or the charger. Try again or contact customer service for support.
- When the charge is complete, the lights on the battery and charger will turn off.
- To remove the battery pack from the charger, press the latches on the sides of the battery pack and pull up on the battery pack. (Refer to Figure 3 for visual guidance).
- During charging, the battery pack and ambient temperature should ideally be between 5 and 30°C.
- The charger is designed to sense if the pack or ambient temperature is too cold or too hot. In such cases, it will return an error code (the red light will remain on) and will not charge the pack until the ambient temperature is within the acceptable range.
- Note: It is recommended that the charger is always supplied via a residual current device (RCD) with a rated residual current of 30 mA or less.
