CEILING FAN INSTRUCTION MANUAL

Safety Rules

  1. To reduce the risk of electric shock, ensure electricity has been turned off at the circuit breaker or fuse box before beginning.
  2. All wiring must be in accordance with the National Electrical Code and local electrical codes. Electrical installation should be performed by a qualified licensed electrician.
  3. WARNING: To reduce the risk of electrical shock and fire, do not use this fan with any solid-state fan speed control device.
  4. WARNING: To reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, or personal injury, mount to outlet box marked "Acceptable for Fan Support of 45kg (99.12 lbs.) Or Less" and use mounting screws provided with the outlet box. Most outlet boxes commonly used for the support of light fixtures are not acceptable for fan support and may need to be replaced. Due to the complexity of the installation of this fan, a qualified licensed electrician is strongly recommended.
  5. The outlet box and support structure must be securely mounted and capable of reliably supporting a minimum of 45KGS. Use only UL Listed outlet boxes marked FOR FAN SUPPORT.
  6. The fan must be mounted with a minimum of 7 feet clearance from the trailing edge of the blades to the floor.
  7. Avoid placing objects in the path of the blades.
  8. To avoid personal injury or damage to the fan and other items, be cautious when working around or cleaning the fan.
  9. Do not use water or detergents when cleaning the fan or fan blades. A dry dust cloth or lightly dampened cloth will be suitable for most cleaning.
  10. After making electrical connections, spliced conductors should be turned upward and pushed carefully up into the outlet box. The wires should be spread apart with the grounded conductor and the equipment-grounding conductor on one side of the outlet box.
  11. Electrical diagrams are for reference only.
  12. The fan is suitable for indoor use only.

  2. After locking the lamp kit, insert the LED wire ends.

Diagram Description: Two diagrams show the installation of the lamp kit and the connection of LED wires.

Replacement of the Downrod

REMEMBER to turn off the power. Follow the steps below to hang your fan properly:

  1. Remove the lock pink and hitch pin from the downrod.
  2. Place the downrod assembly into the canopy and coupling cover. Carefully feed motor wires through the downrod assembly.
  3. Loosen the two set screws in the downrod coupling.
  4. Insert the downrod into the downrod coupling. Install the coupling lock pin through the coupling and downrod. Insert the hitch pin into the cross pin until it snaps into place. Tighten the set screws in the coupling. Slide the coupling cover over the downrod coupling.

Diagram Description: Six diagrams illustrate the steps for replacing the downrod, showing pin removal, wire feeding, set screw loosening, downrod insertion, coupling pin installation, and cover sliding.

Change Downrod (OPT)

The Ceiling Fan comes with one 5-inch standard downrod which is preassembled and attached to the hanger ball. A longer 10-inch downrod is also included for higher ceilings. If you need a different downrod length, please follow these steps:

  1. Loosen the hanger ball from the downrod by removing the set screw.
  2. Slide the downrod ball off the downrod and remove the pin.
  3. Re-install the pin into the extended downrod, and slide the downrod ball up to the top of the downrod.
  4. Re-install the set screw to secure the ball to the downrod.

Diagram Description: Diagrams show loosening a set screw, removing a ball and pin, and re-installing them.

Installing the Receiver

Make wiring connections from the house and the motor to the remote receiver as shown in the diagram.

Diagram Description: A wiring diagram illustrates connections from the house (Black, White, Ground wire) to the receiver, and from the receiver to the fan motor (White, Blue, Brown, Red, Gray).

Note: The remote receiver must match the same code control.

Diagram Description: A detailed diagram of the receiver shows connections for the light (live-wire, neutral-wire), motor wires (Red, Grey, Brown), power supply (live-wire, neutral-wire, ground wire), and antenna wire.

Note: The remote receiver must match the same code control.

Using the Remote Control

The remote control has the following functions:

Requires 1.5V AAA batteries x 2pcs (batteries not included).

  1. Learning code matching mode is used between the emitter and receiver. Turn "ON" the supply power within 30 seconds and press the emitter's “O” button for 5 seconds. It will load normally after hearing a long sound "bee", which means learning is successful and it can work normally. (PS: Learning mode is not accepted after 30 seconds of turning "ON" the supply power).
  2. If the emitter cannot control the receiver, please check if the battery switch is touching normally, the polarity of the batteries (positive and negative), and if the batteries are full or depleted.
  3. If the emitter cannot control the receiver, check for the presence of similar remote-controlled products nearby. If they are operating, their signals might interfere, as products with the same frequency can disturb each other.
  4. Low battery voltage can affect the sensitivity of the emitter and the signal reception. The indicator light will flash to warn when the battery voltage is low; replace the battery if it is getting low.
  5. Remove the battery from the emitter when leaving it unused for a long time.
  6. The maximum load for lighting can be found in the "POWER PARAMETER LIST" (not provided in this excerpt).
  7. PS: Please connect the ground wire correctly, otherwise, it may cause the light to flicker or flash dimly.
  8. When installing the fan, ensure the fan ceiling cover does not press the antenna or other wires, as this can easily break the wire and cause a short circuit.

Installation of Lampshade

3. Last step: Rotate the glass to the right to tighten it and check whether it is loose. Complete the installation.

Diagram Description: A diagram shows the final step of installing the lampshade by rotating it to tighten.

Troubleshooting

Fan will not start:

  1. Check circuit fuses or breakers.
  2. Check line wire connections to the fan and switch wire connections in the switch housing. CAUTION: Make sure main power is off.
  3. After the fan is powered on, if the remote control does not respond and the fan beeps, do not press the remote control multiple times. Turn off the power immediately. Check if the wire between the motor and the receiver is loose, or remove and re-install.

Fan sounds noisy:

  1. Make sure all motor housing screws are snug.
  2. Make sure the screws that attach the fan blade bracket to the motor hub are tight.
  3. Make sure wire nut connections are not rubbing against each other or the interior wall of the switch housing. CAUTION: Make sure main power is off.
  4. Allow a 24-hour “breaking-in” period. Most noises associated with a new fan disappear during this time.
  5. If using an optional light kit, ensure the screws securing the glassware are tight. Check that the light bulb is also secure.
  6. Some fan motors are sensitive to signals from solid-state variable speed controls. If you have installed this type of control, choose and install another type of control.
  7. Make sure the upper canopy is a short distance from the ceiling. It should not touch the ceiling.
  8. If the above methods do not solve the problem, please contact the manufacturer.
