Important Safety Information
Please read this important information carefully before using the product, its batteries, and accessories. Misuse can lead to hazards or serious injuries. The accessories supplied may vary for different products.
Warning
- Use only a certified safety extra low voltage (SELV) supply unit with output rating 5 V, ≥ 1 A for charging.
- For safe charging in moist environments (e.g., in a bathroom), use only an IPX4 (splash-proof) supply unit. A suitable supply unit (e.g., Philips HQ87) is available via www.philips.com/support.
- Keep the USB cable, USB supply unit, and charging stand (if provided) dry.
- This appliance is waterproof (suitable for use in the bath or shower and for cleaning under the tap). For safety reasons, it can only be used without a cord.
- Children aged 8 years and above, and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge may use the appliance if supervised or instructed on safe use and understand the hazards involved. Children shall not play with the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children without supervision.
- Do not modify the supply unit.
- Do not use the supply unit in or near wall sockets with electric air fresheners to prevent irreparable damage.
- Do not use a damaged appliance. Replace damaged parts with new Philips parts.
- For hygiene reasons, only one person should use the appliance.
- Unplug the appliance before cleaning it with water.
- Use only cold or lukewarm water to clean the appliance.
- Never use compressed air, scouring pads, abrasive cleaning agents, or aggressive liquids to clean the appliance.
- Maximum sound power level: Lc = 69 dB(A).
- Water may drip from the socket at the bottom of the appliance when rinsing; this is normal and not dangerous as electronics are enclosed in a sealed unit.
- Only use original Philips accessories or consumables.
- Charge, use, and store the product at temperatures between 10 °C and 35 °C.
- Keep product and batteries away from fire and direct sunlight or high temperatures.
- If the product becomes abnormally hot, smells, changes color, or charging takes longer than usual, stop use and contact Philips.
- Do not place products and their batteries in microwave ovens or on induction cookers.
- Do not open, modify, pierce, damage, or dismantle the product or battery to prevent overheating or release of toxic substances. Do not short-circuit, overcharge, or reverse charge batteries.
- If batteries are damaged or leaking, avoid contact with skin or eyes. If contact occurs, rinse well with water and seek medical care.

Removal of Built-in Rechargeable Battery
The built-in rechargeable battery must only be removed by a qualified professional when the appliance is discarded. Before removing the battery, ensure the appliance is disconnected from the wall socket and the battery is completely empty. Take necessary safety precautions when handling tools and disposing of the battery. Ensure hands, product, and batteries are dry. To avoid accidental short-circuiting, do not let battery terminals contact metal objects. Do not wrap batteries in aluminum foil. Tape terminals or place batteries in a plastic bag before discarding.
- Check for screws in the appliance housing and remove them if present.
- Remove any additional screws, panels, or parts until the printed circuit board with the rechargeable battery is visible.
- Remove the rechargeable battery.

Charging the Appliance
Use the provided USB cable and a 5V, ≥1A power adapter. Ensure the charging stand and cable are kept dry. The appliance is IPX4 rated (splash-proof).
Charging time: Approximately 60 minutes for a full charge. A full charge provides up to 120 minutes of cordless use.
Indicator light shows charging status (details not specified in diagrams).
Using the Appliance
Step 1: Select Attachment
Choose the desired comb attachment or use the trimmer without a comb for stubble (approx. 0.5 mm). Attach the comb securely to the trimmer head.
Step 2: Trim Hair
Move the appliance against the direction of hair growth. For beard trimming, follow the contours of your face. For hair trimming, use smooth strokes.
Step 3: Adjust Length (if applicable)
Use the adjustable combs to select your desired hair length by sliding the adjustment wheel.
Cleaning and Maintenance
Cleaning the Trimmer Head
Unplug the appliance before cleaning. Rinse the trimmer head under running water. Ensure water does not enter the appliance body.
Oiling the Blades
After cleaning and drying, apply one drop of Philips trimmer oil to the blades. This ensures optimal performance and longevity.
Note: Do not use compressed air, scouring pads, abrasive cleaners, or aggressive liquids.
Storage
Store the appliance and its accessories in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures (10°C - 35°C).
