Front Panel Controls
The front panel of the receiver features various buttons and a display for operation:
- LCD DISPLAY: Shows current status, frequency, track information, etc.

Installation
General Installation Notes
- Before final installation, temporarily connect wiring to ensure proper function.
- Use only included parts to prevent malfunctions.
- Installation by an authorized dealer is recommended to maintain warranty validity.
- Install the unit in a location that does not obstruct the driver or injure passengers during sudden stops.
- Avoid areas subject to high temperatures, direct sunlight, dust, or excessive vibration.
- Remove the front panel before installing the unit.
DIN FRONT-MOUNT (Method A)
This method involves mounting the unit into the dashboard using a holder.
- Dashboard: Prepare the dashboard opening.
- Holder: Insert the half sleeve into the dashboard. Bend tabs to secure the holder based on dashboard thickness.
Removing the Unit (Front Mount)
- Frame Removal: Insert fingers into the groove on the front of the frame and pull to remove. When re-attaching, orient the grooved side downwards.
- Unit Removal: Insert the supplied levers into the grooves on both sides of the unit until they click. Pulling the levers releases the unit from the dashboard.
DIN REAR-MOUNT (METHOD B)
This method uses screw holes on the sides of the unit to fasten it to the factory radio mounting bracket.
- Select a position where the screw holes of the bracket align with the unit's screw holes. Tighten screws at two places on each side.

Note: The mounting box, outer trim ring, and half-sleeve are not used for Method B installation.
DETACHABLE CONTROL PANEL (D.C.P.)
Removing The Detachable Control Panel (D.C.P.)
- Turn the power off.
- Press the D.C.P. release button.
- Remove the D.C.P.
Attaching the D.C.P.
- Attach the panel at the right side first, aligning point B on the main unit with point A on the D.C.P.
- Press the left side of the D.C.P. onto the main unit until a click sound is heard.
CAUTION ⚠️
- DO NOT insert the D.C.P. from the left side, as this may cause damage.
- The D.C.P. is susceptible to damage from shocks. Store it in a protective case after removal.
- Ensure the D.C.P. is securely attached, as vibrations may cause it to detach.
- Be careful not to damage the rear connector when attaching or detaching the D.C.P.
Note: If the D.C.P. is dirty, wipe with a soft, dry cloth. Clean the socket on the back with a cotton swab soaked in isopropyl alcohol.
Electrical Connection
General Requirements
- Ensure your car battery is a 12-volt negative ground system.
- Disconnect the power supply by removing the fuse before starting wiring connections.
- Connect the power wire to an extra terminal of the fuse box.
- Connect the black ground wire to a metal part of the car for good contact.
- Make other wiring connections as shown in the diagram.
- If your car lacks an ISO connector, one can be procured from an accessory shop.
Notes: INCORRECT WIRING OR OPERATION WILL VOID THE WARRANTY OF THIS UNIT.
Fuse Replacement: To replace the fuse, pull out the blown fuse and insert a new one of the same rating.
Wiring Diagram Description:
The diagram shows two ISO connectors (A and B) and a harness. Key connections include:
- ISO Connector A: MEMORY +12V, REMOTE TRIGGER, GROUND, ACC, +12V.
- ISO Connector B: REAR RIGHT SPEAKER (+/-), FRONT RIGHT SPEAKER (+/-), FRONT LEFT SPEAKER (+/-), REAR LEFT SPEAKER (+/-).
- Harness: Connects to RED (POWER +), BLACK (GND), YELLOW (+12V FUSED MEMORY), BLUE AUTO ANT., and speaker outputs (FRONT LEFT, FRONT RIGHT, REAR LEFT, REAR RIGHT) with corresponding color codes (e.g., WHITE/BLACK for Front Left -, GREEN/BLACK for Rear Left +).
- LINE OUT FRONT: WHITE (L), RED (R).
General Operation
POWER ON/OFF BUTTON ?
Press the POWER button or any other front button to turn the unit on. Press the POWER button briefly to turn the unit off.
MUTE BUTTON ?
Press momentarily to mute audio. "Mute" will appear on the display. Press again to restore the previous volume setting.
AUDIO SELECT BUTTON (ROTARY VOLUME CONTROL KNOB) ?
Press to select desired audio function. The volume knob is used to adjust settings within 3 seconds. The sequence is: VOLUME (VOL) -> BASS (BAS) -> TREBLE (TRE) -> BALANCE (BAL) -> FADER (FAD) -> EQ (DSP OFF/POP/ROCK/CLASSIC).
Note: At DSP OFF mode, EQ is controlled by BASS/TREBLE settings.
Menu Operations
MENU BUTTON ☰
Press the MENU button to navigate through menu items. Use the Volume control to adjust the selected function.
- LOC/DX MODE: Switches between Local and Distant (DX) tuning modes. Local Mode improves reception in areas with strong signals.
- BEEP MODE (BEEP ON / OFF):
- BEEP OFF: Disables audible beep tones for function access.
- BEEP ON: Enables audible beep tones.
- SWITCHING BETWEEN USA AND EUROPE FREQUENCY: In radio mode, press MENU until AREA USA or AREA EUR is displayed. Rotate the Volume knob to switch between USA and EUR frequencies. Leave for 3-4 seconds or press any button to confirm. The frequency and tuning step will adjust automatically.
Loudness Control
LOUD BUTTON
Use this control to increase bass output.
Rotary Encoder Volume Knob
When the Menu function is not active, rotate the knob to change the volume level. When the Menu function is active, rotate the knob to navigate through different menu items.
Source Selection (SRC)
SRC BUTTON
Press this button to select different sources in the following sequence:
- A) Tuner mode (Radio)
- B) USB (if a USB drive is inserted)
- C) SD / MMC (if a SD or MMC card is inserted)
- D) AUX IN
SOURCES PRIORITY
- When a USB or SD/MMC is inserted, the unit automatically switches to that mode.
- When a USB or SD/MMC is removed, the unit automatically switches to radio mode.
Front AUX Input
Connect an external audio signal to the front 3.5mm earphone jack. Press the MODE button to select Aux mode. Press MODE again to return to the previous mode.

Display and Memory Functions
DISP BUTTON
Press the DISP button to display current playing status (e.g., Radio frequency, AUX input, or Music information like elapsed time and ID3 tag for USB/SD-MMC playback).
AUTO MEMORY STORE/PRESET SCAN BUTTON (AMS)
- PRESET SCAN: Press AMS briefly to enter Preset Scan mode. The unit scans all preset stations, staying on each for about 5 seconds.
- AUTO MEMORY STORE: Press and hold AMS to enter Auto Store mode. The unit scans the current band and stores up to 6 strongest stations into the 6 preset memories. Press AMS again to stop Auto Store & Scan.
TUNING UP / DOWN BUTTON ⬆️ / ⬇️
Press this button to search for radio stations.
BAND BUTTON ?
Press this button to change between bands: FM1, FM2, FM3, MW1, MW2 (AM).
RESET BUTTON ⚙️
The RESET button is located on the front panel. It requires a ballpoint pen or metal object to press. Activate for the following reasons:
- Initial installation of the unit.
- When all function buttons do not operate.
- If an error symbol appears on the display.
Note: If the unit does not function normally after resetting, clean the socket on the back of the control panel with a cotton swab soaked in isopropyl alcohol.
LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAY PANEL (LCD)
The LCD panel displays frequency, time, and activated functions. Note that in cold temperatures, the LCD may take longer to illuminate and visibility might decrease temporarily.
STATION PRESET BUTTONS (M1-M6)
You can store and recall six preset radio stations using the M1-M6 buttons.
- TO STORE A STATION: 1) Select a band. 2) Select a station using the tuning buttons. 3) Hold a preset button (M1-M6) for at least 2 seconds. The preset number will appear, accompanied by a beep.
- TO RECALL A STATION: 1) Select a band. 2) Briefly press the desired preset button (M1-M6).
MP3/SD/USB Operations
MP3/SD/USB OPERATIONS
Loading MP3 File (MMC/SD/USB Drive)
During MP3 playback, the LCD shows the Current Track Number and Time Elapse. If the disc is ID3 compatible, pressing DISP displays elapsed time and ID3 tag information (SONG, TITLE, ARTIST, ALBUM, DIR).
Navigating Through Folders and Tracks
Four methods are available:
- By Track Up/Down Button ⬆️ / ⬇️: Press briefly to skip to the next or previous track.
- 10-Track Up/Down Button: Press Folder Up (M6)/F+ or Folder Down (M5)/F- for more than 1 second to skip 10 tracks.
- Folder UP/Down: Press Folder Up (M6)/F+ or Folder Down (M5)/F- briefly to skip to the next or previous folder.
- NAVIGATING THROUGH DIRECTORIES AND TRACKS: In MP3 play mode, press the AMS Menu button once (display shows TRK-SCH). Turn the Encoder Volume knob to select the desired track number, then press the knob to confirm.
M1) PLAY/PAUSE AND FIRST TRACK BUTTON ▶️ / ⏸️
Press briefly to pause MP3 play; press again to resume.
M2) INTRO SCAN BUTTON
Press to select Intro Scan function. The first 10 seconds of each track play sequentially. Press again to resume normal play.
M3) REPEAT BUTTON ?
Pressing this button activates the Repeat Function in the following order: RPT ONE → RPT ALL.
M4) RANDOM PLAY BUTTON ?
When random play mode is selected, tracks play in random order. Press again to cancel random play mode.
TRACK UP AND TRACK DOWN BUTTON ◄◄ / ►►
Under normal play mode, press Track Up for less than 1 second to skip to the next track, or press Track Down for less than 1 second to return to the beginning of the current track. Press Track Down again to skip to the previous track.
When either button is pressed for more than 1 second, the MP3 player enters Cue/Review mode (indicated by a flashing track number on the LCD). Normal play resumes when the button is released.
MMC/SD CARD & USB DEVICE OPERATIONS
START THE USB DEVICE MODE ?
- The USB socket is accessible on the front panel.
- Plug the USB drive/device completely into the socket. The display will show "USB-LOAD" indicating successful connection.
- Regardless of the current source (TUNER, SD/MMC, AUX), the unit will automatically switch to USB mode when a USB drive is plugged in.
- USB file playback functions are the same as normal MP3 file playback.
Warning: Excessive weight or size of a USB drive/device may cause permanent damage to the unit. Use an extension cable (provided by the USB device manufacturer) to connect to the USB socket to prevent damage.
TO STOP USB PLAYBACK
- If the USB drive/device is unplugged, the unit automatically switches to radio mode.
- Alternatively, use the MODE button to switch to other modes.

CAUTION ⚠️
Always unplug the USB drive gently from the unit. Excessive force can cause permanent damage to the unit and the USB drive/device.
COMPATIBILITY
Due to rapid technological advancements, compatibility with all future USB drive/devices cannot be guaranteed, especially those requiring drivers. Always choose a compatible USB drive/device.
NOTE: This unit is not compatible with portable Hard-Discs.
START THE SD/MMC MODE ?
- The SD/MMC card slot is located on the top of the front panel.
- Insert the SD/MMC card into the slot in the correct direction until a CLICK sound is heard.
- The display will show "SD-MMC" indicating correct insertion. MP3 file playback will start automatically.
- Regardless of the current source, the unit will automatically switch to SD/MMC mode when a card is inserted.
- SD/MMC file playback functions are the same as normal MP3 file playback.
TO STOP SD/MMC CARD PLAYBACK
- Push the end of the SD or MMC card to eject it. The unit will automatically switch to the previous mode.
- Use the MODE button to choose SD/MMC mode (if inserted) or any other mode.

CAUTION ⚠️
Please make sure to insert the SD or MMC card in the correct direction/orientation. Incorrect insertion will cause permanent and serious damage to the unit and the card.
