Unit Installation
Installation Steps:
- Attach the 2 brackets to the left and right sides of the unit.
- Use screws to fix the brackets securely to the unit.

Parking Brake Connection
To view videos, the parking brake wire must be connected, and the vehicle must be stopped.
Connection Diagram Description: The light green parking brake wire from the car DVD player connects to the parking brake switch, which is then connected to the car battery. A connection to a metal body part or chassis ground is also shown.
Reversing Line Connection: The reversing line connects to the taillight and the car battery.
Speaker Connection
Connect the speakers according to the following diagram. Incorrect connections may damage the unit or your speakers. Do not chassis ground speakers. Always observe correct polarity.
Correct Connection: Shows speakers wired with correct polarity (+ to +, - to -) for Left front, Right front, Left rear, and Right rear.
Incorrect Connections: Shows diagrams with crossed wires or incorrect polarity, marked with a red cross symbol [❌].
Remote Control
The remote control provides access to all unit functions:
- 1: MODE: Selects source (Radio, Disc, USB, SD, Bluetooth, Aux-In).
- 2: POWER: Turns the unit on or off.
- 3: UP: Moves cursor up.
- 4: BAND/RDM/CLEAR: Changes radio bands (FM1-FM3, AM1-AM2), toggles random playback in DVD mode, clears phone numbers in Bluetooth mode.
- 5: ENTER: Confirms selection.
- 6: LEFT: Moves cursor left.
- 7: DOWN: Moves cursor down.
- 8: EJECT: Ejects the disc.
- 9: STEREO/MONO/*: Switches between stereo and mono sound, or makes a symbol in Bluetooth mode.
- 10: P.SCN/REPEAT/#: Preset scan in radio mode; repeat modes (REP 1, REP Title, REP ALL, REP Dir) in DVD/USB/SD mode; # symbol in Bluetooth mode.
- 11: SEEK-/BACKWARD: Skips to previous track, fast reverse (REW) in DVD mode; selects station backward in radio mode.
- 12: LOUD: Toggles loudness on/off.
- 13: STOP/PBC: Stops playback, restarts from beginning; PBC (Playback Control) in VCD mode.
- 14: OSD: Displays disc playing information in DVD mode.
- 15: PLAY/PAUSE: Starts or pauses playback.
- 16: MUTE/BLUETOOTH: Mutes volume (short press); enters Bluetooth mode (long press).
- 17: MENU/ROOT: Accesses main menu or title menu (DVD mode).
- 18: SUBTITLE: Selects subtitle language.
- 19: RIGHT: Moves cursor right.
- 20: SETUP: Enters setup menu.
- 21: DIAL/ANGLE: Changes viewing angle in DVD mode; makes a call or accepts incoming call in Bluetooth mode.
- 22: HANG UP: Rejects or ends a call in Bluetooth mode.
- 23: VOLUME UP: Increases volume.
- 24: ZOOM: Zooms image in/out in DVD mode.
- 25: SELECT: Enters EQ settings menu.
- 26: SEEK+/FORWARD: Skips to next track, fast forward (FF) in DVD mode; selects station forward in radio mode.
- 27: VOLUME DOWN: Decreases volume.
- 28: AUDIO: Selects audio language in DVD mode.
- 29: NUMERIC KEY: For direct input (radio band, track number, phone number).
Remote Control Notes:
- Operating distance may vary with ambient light.
- Remove the battery if the remote is not used for an extended period to prevent damage.
- Do not place objects between the remote and the unit's sensor.
- Avoid dropping the remote.
- Do not use the remote simultaneously with other equipment that may cause interference.
- Battery life is approximately one year. Replace with a CR2025 (3V) lithium cell battery.
- Dispose of batteries according to local regulations. Do not short-circuit, disassemble, heat, or incinerate batteries.
- Keep batteries out of reach of children.

Radio Operation
To start the radio, tap the 'Radio' button on the main menu screen.
Radio Interface Controls:
- Station Selection: Tap icons to manually select stations backward or forward. Touch and hold icons for automatic station selection.
- Band Selection: Touch to cycle through FM bands (FM1 → FM2 → FM3) and AM bands (AM1 → AM2).
- Local/DX Function: Toggle the 'LOC/DX' button to enable or disable the local function.
- Stereo/Mono: Touch the 'S/M' button to select mono sound reception.
- Scan/Preset: Touch the 'AS/PS' button to scan stations 1-6. Long touch to save stations with good reception automatically, scanning each for about 5 seconds.
- Settings: Touch the settings icon [⚙️] to go to the settings mode.
- Brightness: Touch the brightness icon [☀️] to adjust the TFT panel brightness.
- Return to Menu: Touch the home icon [?] to return to the main menu.
- EQ Setting: Touch the EQ icon to access EQ settings.

DVD Operation
To start the DVD player, tap the 'DVD' button from the main menu screen.
DVD Playback Controls:
- Buttons appear when the screen is tapped and hide when tapped again. Swipe the subtitle area to switch between pages.
- Note: DVD player starts automatically upon disc insertion. Avoid watching video while driving for safety. The player supports video, picture, and music files.
- Previous/Next Page Menu: Touch to navigate menus.
- Previous Track: Touch to skip to the previous track.
- Pause/Play: Touch to pause or resume playback.
- Next Track: Touch to skip to the next track.
- Repeat Modes: In DVD mode, select Repeat 1, Repeat Title, or Repeat All. In VCD mode, select REP 1, REP DIR, or REP ALL.
- Random Playback: Touch to turn random playback on or off.
- PBC (Playback Control): In VCD mode, touch to enable or disable PBC.
- OSD Interface: Touch to enter the next page OSD interface.

USB/SD Operation
When a file from a USB or SD card is played (music, video, photo), the screen displays the following interface:
- Repeat Modes: Press to repeat REP 1, REP DIR, or REP ALL.
- Previous Track: Press to skip to the previous track.
- Play/Pause: Press to pause playback, press again to resume.
- Next Track: Press to skip to the next track.
- Fast Rewind: Press to start fast rewind playback.
- Fast Forward: Press to start fast forward playback.
- Select File: Press to select a file.
- Select Title: Press to select a title (if the file has multiple titles).
- Random Playback: Press to play tracks randomly.
- Title Selection (USB/SD): Press to select a title (if the file has many chapters).
- Image Rotation: Rotate the image in sequences of 90°, 180°, 270°.
- Zoom: Zoom the image in or out in sequences of ×2, ×3, ×4, ×5, ×1/2, ×1/3.

Settings Operation
Customize settings to suit your personal needs. Changes remain until you modify them again.
General Control:
- OSD Language: Select English/Spanish.
- Wallpaper: Select and change the wallpaper setting.
- Panel Adjust: Calibrate the touch panel.
- Radio Area: Select radio area (Europe, USA, South America, Russian, Asia).
- Clock & Calendar: Set the clock and date.
- SWC (Steering Wheel Control): Program steering wheel controls.
- Key Beep: Set beep sound on or off.
- Standby Display: Set standby display on or off.
- Version: Displays firmware version.
- Restore Default: Resets settings to factory defaults.
Steering Wheel Control (SWC) Setup:
- Ensure the vehicle has steering wheel buttons and they are connected to the unit.
- Hold down the steering wheel button and the corresponding unit button to complete the setting.
- Once set, steering wheel buttons can operate the unit (e.g., station search, track selection, volume adjustment).
- Note: 'Enter' and 'Reset' buttons on the unit are not part of SWC setup. SWC recognition requires a voltage difference above 0.2V between adjacent buttons.
DVD Setup Menu:
- Audio Language: Select desired language.
- Subtitle Language: Select desired language.
- Menu Language: Select desired language.
- Password: Set a password.
- Rating: Set content rating.
Subtitle Lang Setting: Selects preferred subtitle language. If the selected language is on the disc, it plays automatically; otherwise, the first recorded language plays.
Audio Lang Setting: Selects preferred audio language. If the selected language is on the disc, it plays automatically; otherwise, the first recorded language plays.
DVD Menu Lang Setting: Selects preferred menu language. If the selected language is on the disc, it displays automatically; otherwise, the first recorded language displays.
Sound Control:
- Sound Effect: Select on/off.
- Subwoofer: Enable subwoofer output.
- Loudness: Select on/off.
- Loud Cut off Freq: Adjust low-frequency cutoff.
EQ Settings: Select from User, Classic, Rock, Pop, Jazz, Electric, Flat. Includes a Reset option.
TV Type:
- Aspect Ratio: Select 4:3PS, 4:3LB, or 16:9.
- Adjust: Adjust screen brightness, contrast, hue, saturation, and sharpness.
- Panel: Set backlight time.
Screen Ratio Modes: Three modes are available: Normal/PS (4:3 Pan Scan) and Normal/LB (4:3 Letterbox). The 16:9 mode is for DVD player only.
Subwoofer: Connect to the sub output and enable via the sound settings menu.
Parking: Video image can be displayed only when the car is stopped and the parking brake is engaged.
Back View Camera: Connect a back view camera to the video input. Connect the reverse wire to the rear gear light. The rear view camera picture will be enabled when backing up.

Bluetooth Operation
To enter Bluetooth mode, tap the Bluetooth icon on the main menu, long press the mute/Bluetooth button on the remote, or press the mode button.
Pairing Mode:
- For first-time use, pair your mobile phone. The BT icon and pairing mark will blink until paired.
- Once connected, the BT icon stays on, and the mobile phone name may be displayed.
- Follow your mobile device's manual. Search for 'Boss Audio BV9371BD', input password '0000', and confirm pairing.
- The unit supports auto-connect and disconnect.
Calling:
- Tap the calling button to enter call mode.
- Tap a phone number and the call button [?] to make a call, or the hang-up button [☎️] to end a call.
- Tap the clear button [❌] to delete a wrong digit. Long press the clear button or RDM/C button on the remote for 3-4 seconds to delete all numbers.
- Long press the redial button [?] for 3-4 seconds to call the latest number in the call log.
- Volume can be adjusted separately during calls.
BT Phonebook:
- The unit can download phonebook data after pairing. Contacts are listed alphabetically.
- Note: Only western characters are supported in the phonebook.
Voice Transfer: During a call, tap the transfer button [?] to switch between Bluetooth mode and the phone. Tap again to return to Bluetooth mode.
A2DP (Advanced Audio Distribution Profile) Music Mode:
- Tap the 'Streaming' button in the main menu.
- Tap the music button [?] to start the Bluetooth music player.
- Use playback controls (previous, play/pause, stop, next) to manage music.
- A2DP receives audio signals from the mobile phone and plays them through the car speakers. Your mobile phone must support A2DP.
Aux-In Mode:
- Tap the Aux-In icon on the main menu. Connect an external audio signal source.
- The unit will display "NOW PLAYING".
- Note: Aux-In does not support video display. If no audio signal is input, "NO SIGNAL DETECTED" will be displayed. Press the back icon [⬅️] to return to the main menu.

Aux-In Operation
To start Aux-In Mode, tap the Aux-In icon from the main menu screen. Connect the external audio signal source to this unit. The display will show "NOW PLAYING".
Note: Aux-In does not support a video display function. If no audio signal input, "NO SIGNAL DETECTED" will be displayed. Press the back icon [⬅️] to return to the main menu.

Notes of Disc
Handling Discs:
- Handle discs with both hands or with one hand carefully.
Cleaning Discs:
- Fingerprints or dust can reduce sound or picture quality. Gently wipe discs from the center towards the edges using a soft cloth.
- Do not use damaged (cracked or warped) discs.
- Do not scratch the signal surface or get it dirty.
- Do not attach paper or seals to discs. Exposed glue can damage the player. Check rental discs carefully for extra labels or exposed glue.
- Do not use benzene, thinner, or other volatile chemicals. Do not use record spray or antistatic spray.
- Use a soft cloth, slightly dampened with water for tough dirt, then wipe dry. A separately sold cleaning set is recommended.
- Irregular shaped discs (heart-shaped, hexagonal, etc.) cannot be played and could damage the player. Never use such discs.
Storing Discs:
- Always place discs in their case and store them vertically.
- Avoid storing discs in hot or humid places, in direct sunlight, or in extremely low temperatures.
- Read any cautions included with the discs carefully.

Troubleshooting
