Sound ("1" = On, "0" = Off) | 1 | 0 |
Factory Settings: Press START/Pause to restore all settings in the menu to their factory defaults.
Setting the Water Hardness
To ensure the water softener works correctly, set the water hardness based on your local water supply. The factory setting is "3".
Water Hardness Table:
Level | °dH (German degrees) | °fH (French degrees) | °Clark (English degrees) |
---|---|---|---|
1 (soft) | 0-6 | 0-10 | 0-7 |
2 (medium) | 7-11 | 11-20 | 8-14 |
3 (average) | 12-16 | 21-29 | 15-20 |
4 (hard) | 17-34 | 30-60 | 21-42 |
5 (very hard) | 35-50 | 61-90 | 43-62 |
Only use salt specifically designed for dishwashers. The SALT REFILL indicator may remain lit until the salt concentration reaches the desired level. Using the appliance without salt can damage the water softener and heating element due to limescale. Salt is recommended with any type of dishwasher detergent.
Water Softening System
The water softener reduces water hardness, preventing limescale buildup and improving cleaning efficiency. It regenerates using salt. Regeneration frequency depends on the water hardness setting. A single regeneration uses approximately 3L of water, adds up to 5 minutes to the cycle, and consumes less than 0.005 kWh of energy.
Filling the Rinse Aid Dispenser
Rinse aid improves dish drying. Fill the dispenser [A] when the RINSE AID REFILL indicator light is lit.
- Open the dispenser [B] by pressing and pulling the tab on the lid.
- Pour in rinse aid (max. 110 ml), avoiding overflow. Clean any spills immediately with a dry cloth.
- Press the lid down until it clicks shut.
NEVER pour rinse aid directly into the appliance tub.
Adjusting the Dosage of Rinse Aid:
If drying results are not satisfactory, adjust the rinse aid quantity via the "SETTING MENU". If the level is set to ZERO, no rinse aid is supplied, and the LOW RINSE AID indicator will not light up. A maximum of 6 levels are available. Bluish streaks indicate a low setting (0-3). Water drops or limescale marks suggest a mid-range setting (4-5).
Daily Use
- Check Water Connection: Ensure the dishwasher is connected to the water supply and the tap is open.
- Switch on the Dishwasher: Press the ON/OFF button.
- Load the Racks: Refer to the "Loading the Racks" section.
- Fill the Detergent Dispenser: Use the opening device [C] to open dispenser [D]. Place detergent in the dry dispenser [D] only. Pre-wash detergent can be placed directly in the tub. Follow dosing indications inside the dispenser. Remove residues and close the cover until it clicks. Close the lid securely. The dispenser opens automatically during the cycle. Using non-dishwasher detergent may cause malfunction or damage.
- Choose Program and Customize Cycle: Select the most appropriate program using the PROGRAM button based on crockery type and soiling level. Select desired options (not all options are compatible with all programs).
- Start: Close the door and press the START/Pause button. A single beep indicates the program has started.
- End of Wash Cycle: The end is indicated by sound and the display showing "END". Switch off the appliance using the ON/OFF button and open the door. Wait a few minutes before unloading to avoid burns. Unload racks starting from the bottom one.
Modifying a Running Program
If a program was started incorrectly, you can change it if it has just begun. Press and hold the ON/OFF button for over 3 seconds to switch off the machine. The display will show "0:01". Wait for the drain cycle to end (approx. 1 minute). Switch the machine back on, select a new cycle and options, then press START/Pause.
Adding Extra Crockery
Without switching off the machine, slightly open the door to avoid water splashing (START/Pause LED will blink). Caution: Hot steam! Place the extra crockery inside. Close the door and press START/Pause. The cycle will resume.
Accidental Interruptions
If the door is opened during a wash cycle or if there is a power cut, the cycle stops. Close the door and press START/Pause to resume the cycle.
Advice and Tips
General Tips
- Before loading, remove food residues and empty glasses. Pre-rinsing under running water is not necessary.
- Arrange crockery firmly so it doesn't tip over. Place containers with openings facing downwards and concave/convex parts obliquely to allow water to reach all surfaces.
- Ensure lids, handles, and trays do not prevent the spray arms from rotating.
- Place small items in the cutlery basket.
- Very soiled dishes and pans should go in the lower basket for stronger water spray.
- After loading, ensure spray arms can rotate freely.
Unsuitable Crockery
- Wooden crockery and cutlery.
- Delicately decorated glasses, artistic handicrafts, and antique crockery (decorations may not be resistant).
- Parts in synthetic material not resistant to high temperatures.
- Copper and tin crockery.
- Crockery soiled with ash, wax, lubricating grease, or ink.
- Glass decorations and aluminium/silver pieces may change colour. Crystal objects can become opaque over time.
Damage to Glass and Crockery
- Only use glasses and porcelain guaranteed as dishwasher safe.
- Use a delicate detergent suitable for crockery.
- Collect glasses and cutlery as soon as the wash cycle is over.
Tips on Energy Saving
- Using the dishwasher according to instructions generally consumes less energy and water than handwashing.
- Maximize efficiency by running the dishwasher when fully loaded.
- For partial loads, use dedicated options like Half Load or Zone Wash if available.
- Incorrect loading or overloading can increase resource usage and reduce performance.
- Manual pre-rinsing is not recommended as it increases water and energy consumption.
Hygiene
To avoid odour and sediment, run a high-temperature program with a teaspoon of detergent once a month without loading.
Resistance to Frost
If the appliance is in an environment at risk of frost, drain it completely. Turn off the water tap, remove inlet/outlet hoses, and drain all water. Ensure the water softener is full of regeneration salt to protect against temperatures down to -20°C. If stored in frost conditions, allow the appliance to reach at least 5°C ambient temperature for 24 hours before the first run.
Programs Table
The Eco 50° wash cycle adheres to the regulation standard AS/NZS 2007. Although longer, it uses less energy and is less harmful to the environment. Pre-treatment of dishes is not needed for any program.
Program | Programs description | Drying phase | Available options *) | Duration of wash program (h: min)**) | Water consumption (litres/cycle) | Energy consumption (kWh/cycle) |

WARNING: Dishwasher detergents are strongly alkaline. Avoid contact with skin and eyes. Keep children away from the dishwasher when the door is open. Check that the detergent receptacle is empty after the wash cycle.
Options and Functions
Options can be selected/deselected after choosing a program by pressing the corresponding button. If an option is incompatible, its indicator light will flash rapidly 3 times, and beeps will sound. The option will not be enabled. Options can change program time, water, or energy consumption.
- TURBO: Reduces cycle time by up to 40%, increasing energy and water consumption.
- HALF LOAD: For fewer dishes, saves water, electricity, or time depending on the program. Remember to reduce detergent.
- EXTRA DRY: Higher final rinse temperature and extended drying phase for improved drying. Lengthens the wash cycle.
- SILENT: Limits noise emissions during wash phases for night-time operation. Increases cycle time.
- SANI RINSE: Sanitizes washed dishes by increasing final rinse temperature and adding an antibacterial wash. Ideal for crockery and feeding bottles. Keep the door shut for the entire program duration for germ reduction. Crockery may be extremely hot at the end of the cycle.
- SENSING: Detects soil level, updates cycle duration (approx. 20 min). Present for all cycles except Eco.
- KEYLOCK: Activated by a long press (3 seconds) of the SILENT button. Blocks the control panel except for the ON/OFF button. Long press again to deactivate.
- WATER TAP CLOSED: Alarm indicator flashes when there is no water inlet or the tap is closed.
- DELAY: Allows program start to be delayed from 0:30 to 24 hours. Select program/options, press DELAY repeatedly to set time. Close door and press START/Pause to begin countdown. The function cannot be set once a program has started.
- DESCALE: Alarm indicates limescale accumulation. Check water hardness setting and salt presence. Use a descaling product with the Self-Clean program. If not addressed, performance will deteriorate, and the appliance may block, allowing only Self-Clean. Performing a full descaling will unblock the product. Descaling may need to be done twice for severe buildup.
- NaturalDry: Convection drying system that automatically opens the door during/after the drying phase for better drying. The door opens at a safe temperature for kitchen furniture. It will not open if SANI RINSE is active. Additional steam protection foil is included. Refer to the Installation Guide for mounting. This feature is active by default but can be deactivated in "SETTINGS MENU".
Loading the Racks
Capacity: 14 standard place-settings.
Cutlery Rack
Designed for cutlery. Arrange cutlery as shown in the figure for easier collection and improved washing/drying. Knives and utensils with sharp edges should be positioned with blades facing downwards.
Upper Rack
Load delicate and light dishes: glasses, cups, saucers, low salad bowls. The upper rack has tip-up supports that can be used vertically for tea/dessert saucers or horizontally for bowls and food containers.
Adjusting the Height of the Upper Rack:
The height can be adjusted for bulky lower basket items or to maximize tip-up support space. Lift the rack by holding its sides until stable in the upper position. To lower, press levers [A] on the sides and move the basket down. Do not adjust height when the rack is loaded. Never raise or lower the basket on one side only.
Lower Rack
For pots, lids, plates, salad bowls, cutlery, etc. Large plates and lids should be placed at the sides to avoid interfering with the spray arm. The lower rack also has tip-up supports for plates (vertical) or pans/salad bowls (horizontal).
Care and Maintenance
Cleaning the Filter Assembly
Regularly clean the filter assembly to prevent clogging and ensure proper wastewater flow. Clogged filters or foreign objects can cause malfunction, reduced performance, noise, or higher resource usage.
The filter assembly has three filters. Clean it at least once a month or every 30 cycles.
- Turn cylindrical filter [A] anticlockwise and pull it out. Ensure the triangles meet upon reinstallation.
- Remove cup filter [B] by pressing the side flaps.
- Slide out the stainless-steel plate filter [C].
- Carefully remove any foreign objects (e.g., broken glass, bones).
- Inspect the trap and remove food residues. NEVER REMOVE the wash-cycle pump protection (shown by an arrow).
Replace the filter assembly correctly after cleaning for efficient operation.
Cleaning the Spray Arms
Food residue can block spray arm holes. Check and clean the arms periodically with a small non-metallic brush.
- Lower Spray Arm: Remove by pulling upwards and rotating anticlockwise. Reinstall by pulling down and rotating clockwise.
- Upper Spray Arm: Remove by pressing upwards and rotating anticlockwise. Reinstall by pulling upwards and rotating clockwise. The upper spray arm must be removed with the manifold.
