Getting Started
To set up your Tapo Mini Smart Wi-Fi Plug:
- Download the Tapo app from the App Store or Google Play.
- Follow the instructions within the Tapo app to complete the setup process.
How to Reset the Plug
- Press & hold for 5 seconds: Resets Wi-Fi settings while keeping previous configurations.
- Press & hold for 10 seconds: Performs a factory reset of the plug.

Notes:
- *Power Adapters/USB Chargers rated under 75W may not support PFC (Power Factor Correction). PFC helps reduce inrush current. Using a 60-75W adapter may damage the device due to inrush currents.
- Avoid appliances with motors/compressors higher than 1HP (e.g., air conditioners), as frequent switching may damage compressors. Consult appliance specifications or support.
- EV charging is not supported due to high power demand exceeding the plug's capacity.
Third-Party Services
The Tapo plug is compatible with voice assistants and smart home platforms like Alexa, Google Assistant, and Samsung SmartThings. Set up these integrations via the "Me" > "Third-Party Services" section in the Tapo app.

- For passthrough devices, do not stack devices of the same or different types. Do not plug them in a row or one after another.
- Only de-energize by pulling the plug out.
- Do not operate while covered.
- Do not plug in any plug-in devices into the Tapo plug itself if it's not designed for passthrough.
