Important Safety Information

General Precautions:

• Do not expose batteries to excessive heat, direct sunlight, or fire.
• Avoid extreme low temperatures that may cause overheating.
• Do not dismantle, open, or shred secondary batteries.
• If a battery leaks, avoid contact with skin or eyes; wash affected area with water and seek medical advice.
• Charge secondary batteries before use.
• Dispose of batteries properly.
• Do not expose the unit to open flames (e.g., lit candles).
• This unit has magnets that may interfere with medical devices like pacemakers. Consult your doctor if you use such devices.
• Never insert the USB plug when the unit or charging cable is wet to prevent short circuits, overheating, or malfunction.
• Do not subject the product to mechanical shock (crushing, bending, dropping).
• Do not operate if the unit is wet or damaged.
• Supervise children when they use the product.

The product may generate heat during charging; always charge in a well-ventilated area, away from flammable surfaces.

Keep the product away from heat sources, direct sunlight, combustible gas, humidity, and liquids.

Do not disassemble, open, microwave, incinerate, paint, or insert foreign objects into the product.

Waterproof and Dustproof Features

The supplied accessories are neither waterproof nor dustproof.

The unit, with the [cap] securely fastened, has an IPX7 waterproof rating and an IP6X dustproof rating.

WARNING: The connectors (USB, AUDIO IN) and supplied accessories are not waterproof or dustproof. Avoid exposing the unit to water or droplets while using any connectors.

Malfunctions due to water immersion or dust intrusion caused by customer misuse are not covered by warranty.

Maintaining Performance:

• Do not pour high-temperature water or blow hot air directly onto the unit.
• Never use the unit in high-temperature environments like saunas or near heat sources.
• Handle the [cap] with care; it is crucial for waterproof/dustproof performance. Ensure it is completely closed and free of foreign objects to prevent deterioration and malfunction.

Precautions on Placement

• Avoid placing the unit in locations subject to high temperatures (direct sunlight, lighting, heat sources, saunas).
• Avoid placing it inside a vehicle with closed windows, especially in summer.
• Avoid areas exposed to hot air (e.g., from hair dryers).
• Place the unit on a flat, level surface to prevent it from falling.
• The unit is not anti-magnetic. Keep magnetic objects (tapes, watches, credit cards) away from it.

Unit Care

The fabric part has water-repellent treatment. To maintain performance and comfort:

• If the surface gets dirty (salt, sand, sweat, sunscreen), wash promptly with fresh water (tap water, etc.).
• Do not use detergents, thinners, benzine, or alcohol, as they can affect the water-repellent function.
• Carefully remove any sand grains or debris from fabric or other parts; do not use a vacuum cleaner, as it may cause damage.

BLUETOOTH® Communications

Microwaves from BLUETOOTH devices may affect electronic medical devices. Turn off the unit and other BLUETOOTH devices in sensitive locations (hospitals, near priority seating on trains, near flammable gas, automatic doors, fire alarms) to prevent accidents.

Other Notes

• Battery charging may stop automatically in extreme temperatures. Ensure ambient temperature is within 5 °C - 35 °C for charging. Unplug and replug the USB cable if charging stops.
• To maintain battery performance, charge it fully at least once every 6 months, even if not in regular use.
• If skin contacts the light function for extended periods, there is a risk of low-temperature burns. Turn off the light function when carrying the speaker with a strap. Adjust room lighting if the speaker's light is too bright or glaring.
• For questions not covered, consult your nearest Sony dealer.
