Soundcore Liberty 4 NC True Wireless Earbuds
Introduction
Download the soundcore application to maximize your earbuds' features, including 3D Surround Sound, Ambient Sound modes, HearID sound, Gaming mode, and firmware updates. If your earbuds cannot connect to the soundcore application, reinstall the application or update it to the latest version from your mobile device's app store.
Wearing the Earbuds
Select the ear tips that best fit your ears and perform the Fit Test within the soundcore application to ensure optimal ANC performance.
Ear Tip Sizes: XS, S, M, L, XL
Maintenance: Dust, earwax, or other debris can accumulate in the earbuds. To maintain optimal sound quality, regularly clean your earbuds. Use a cotton swab lightly moistened with isopropyl alcohol to gently wipe the metal mesh filter part under the rubber ear tips. Ensure the alcohol on the mesh filter has completely dried before use.
Charging the Earbuds
Before First Use:
- Remove the insulation stickers from the earbuds before the first use.
- Place the earbuds in the charging case and close the case.
- Ensure the earbuds and the USB-C charging port are completely dry before charging.
- Connect the charging case to a power source using a certified USB-C cable. Alternatively, place the charging case in the center of your wireless charger.
- Fully charge both the earbuds and the charging case before the first use.
Charging Indicators:
- LED on Case (when earbuds are inside): Short Light indicates < 20% battery. Long Light indicates 20% - 60% battery. Longer Light indicates 60% - 99% battery. Solid light for 5 minutes indicates 100% battery.
- LED on Earbuds (when charging): Short Red Light for 5 seconds (then off) indicates < 20%. Short White Light for 5 seconds (then off) indicates 20% - 60%. Long White Light for 5 seconds (then off) indicates 60% - 100%.
- Charging Time: Approximately 5 minutes of charging provides about 1 hour of playtime. Full charge takes approximately 3 hours for the case.
Powering On and Pairing
Auto Pairing: Open the charging case; the earbuds will automatically power on and enter Bluetooth pairing mode.
Bluetooth Pairing: Select “soundcore Liberty 4 NC” from your device’s Bluetooth list when connecting for the first time.
Pairing Indicators: The LED on the earbuds will flash white while pairing and turn solid white briefly when connected.
Dual Connections
You can connect your earbuds to two Bluetooth devices simultaneously.
Option A: Connecting to another device: Put the earbuds in the charging case and keep the case open. Press and hold the touchpad on both earbuds simultaneously for 3 seconds until the LED indicators flash white rapidly.
Option B: Via the soundcore App: Go to Settings in the soundcore app and select “Dual Connections” > “Connect New Device”.
Manual Pairing
To manually activate Bluetooth pairing mode, place the earbuds in the charging case and keep the case open. Press and hold the button on the charging case for 3 seconds until the LED indicators flash white rapidly.

Ambient Sound Modes
You can select the noise cancellation, normal, or transparency mode in the soundcore application.
- Adaptive ANC: Optimizes noise cancellation based on your ears and environment.
- Transparency: Stay aware of your surroundings while listening to music.
LDAC Audio Codec
Use with devices running Android 8.0 or later to enjoy LDAC quality sound. LDAC provides higher quality audio, increases power consumption, and reduces playtime.
Activate LDAC in an environment with low interference for a stable Bluetooth connection.
- Go to the soundcore app settings.
- Tap “Sound Mode”.
- Select “Preferred audio quality” to switch to the LDAC codec.
- You will be notified that the earbuds do not support LDAC when connected to two devices. Select “Turn On” to proceed.
- It takes approximately 10 seconds to switch audio codecs. You may be prompted to update the earbud firmware if an update is available.
Wear Detection
Playback will automatically pause when you remove an earbud and resume when you put it back in. Wearing either earbud will automatically answer an incoming call.
Powering Off
To power off, return the earbuds to the charging case and close the case. The earbuds will automatically turn off after 30 minutes if they are not connected. This duration can be adjusted in the soundcore application.
Resetting the Earbuds
Reset the earbuds if they have pairing issues with each other or with other devices. First, delete the pairing history from your Bluetooth device. Place the earbuds in the charging case and keep the case open. Press and hold the charging case button for 10 seconds until the LED indicators flash white rapidly three times.
